    摘要： A container for a stack of sheets (e.g., abrasive coated discs) including a base portion adapted to extend transversely across a bottom surface of the stack of sheets and having opposite ends adapted to be positioned at spaced locations along a side surface of the stack of sheets; and a plurality of stiff elongate retaining portions having proximal portions attached to the base portion at its opposite ends with the retaining portions at spaced locations around the side surface of the stack of sheets. The retaining portions have central parts adapted to extend along the side surface of the stack of sheets from its bottom surface to its top surface at those spaced locations, and have distal parts adapted to extend above the top surface of the stack of sheets. Those retaining portions are positioned or bendable to position the distal part in contact with the top surface of the stack of sheets, and have a shape or retain a shape to which the retaining portions are bent to retain the stack of sheets in the container.

    摘要： A dispenser and method for attaching abrasive sheets to a backup pad. The dispenser conveniently centers on the backup pad an abrasive sheet that is larger than the backup pad. In a preferred embodiment, the dispenser comprises: a holder configured to receive circular abrasive sheets, the holder including a bottom, a top, front portion and a rear portion, wherein the rear portion extends farther from the bottom than the front portion, and wherein the bottom of the holder defines at least a 180 degree arc of a first circle having a first radius; a slider guide extending along the rear of the holder; and a spacer mounted in the guide, wherein the spacer is movable along the guide from a first position within the front portion of the holder to a second position beyond the front portion of the holder, the spacer defining an arc of no more than 180 degrees of a second circle having a second radius smaller than the first radius.

The buff includes a stiff flexible backing having a generally planar circular central portion and an annular flange only slightly larger than the diameter of the backup pad projecting from one side surface of its central portion, a second fastener portion fixed on the side surface of its central portion and adapted for engagement with the fastener portion on the backup pad, and a multiplicity of projecting tufts having central portions adhered in the backing by a thermoplastic adhesive that melts and adheres at a temperature under 100.degree. C.

    摘要： A back-up pa supporting and releasably engaging an abrasive article. The back-up pad comprises: a body including a front surface and a back surface in which the front surface comprises a first attachment component thereon and the back surface comprises a second attachment component thereon, and each of the attachment components is adapted for releasable engagement with an abrasive article; a reinforcing plate located within the body between the front surface and the back surface; and tool securing means on the body for securing the back-up pad to a power tool and for selectively orienting the back-up pad in one of a first orientation and a second orientation. When the back-up pad is in the first orientation, substantially the entire front surface is exposed for contacting a workpiece, and when the back-up pad is in the second orientation, substantially the entire back surface is exposed for contacting a workpiece.
