    摘要: Electrophotographic printing of one or more layers of toner using a method of enhancing fuser offset latitude to enable the printing of a wide range of toner mass laydown using electrophotography. This method encompasses the steps of forming multicolor toner images, determining the amount of clear overcoat mass laydown as a function of the color mass laydown or non-raised mass laydown and fusing the clear toner overcoat and the multicolor toner image at a fusing temperature determined by the maximum total mass laydown and the nip width to provide good adhesion to the receiver member while optimizing fuser offset latitude.

The precision release agent management system includes a reservoir adapted to contain a release agent. A wick absorbs release agent from the reservoir. A metering member receives release agent from the wick, which is supported for resiliently urging into operative contact with the metering member. A blade member is associated with the metering member to establish a desired thickness of release agent on the metering member, and a donor member is adapted to receive release agent from the metering member, and operatively contact the fuser device to apply the release agent thereto. A plurality of features is associated with the reservoir for precise alignment of the donor member, the metering member, and the metering blade.

Additionally, processes for preparing such polysiloxanes, and coating compositions comprising the same is provided. A fuser member and substrate comprising a branched monofunctional polysiloxane of the above formula are also disclosed.

    摘要: A fuser assembly having a pair of rollers in nip relation to transport a receiver member therebetween to permanently fix a marking particle image to such receiver member, and at least one skive mechanism for stripping a receiver member adhering to a fuser assembly roller from the said roller. The skive mechanism includes at least one elongated, relatively flexible skive finger. A major portion of the skive finger is supported by a support body so as to increase the rigidity thereof. The skive finger support body is mounted on an elongated shaft having a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of a fuser assembly roller. The longitudinal axes are spaced apart a predetermined fixed distance less than the sum of the longitudinal dimension of the support body for the skive finger and the radius of the fuser assembly roller. As such in a first position the skive finger engages the roller with the skive finger support spaced from the roller, and in a second position the skive finger engages the roller with the skive finger support in engagement with the roller to limit flexing of the skive finger to substantially prevent gouging of the peripheral surface of the fuser assembly roller or damage to the skive finger.

    摘要: This invention relates to an improved fusing station for fusing a toner image to a receiver when the fusing station includes a fuser roller having a hardness from about 50 to about 80 Shore A and an outside coating comprising a low damping fluorocarbon thermoplastic random copolymer roller coating formulation having a tan delta from about 0.01 to about 0.15 and containing from about 1.5 to about 2.5 parts per hundred (pph), based upon the weight of the copolymer of a curing agent having a bisphenol residue and a pressure roller having a smaller outer diameter than the fuser roller and positioned in pressure contact with the fuser roller to form a fusing nip between the pressure roller and the fuser roller. A method is also provided for fusing toner images to receiver sheets using the fusing station.
