    摘要: An optical data recording circuit includes an optical recording device normally illuminated from a camera battery means in conjunction with initiation of flash illumination in the camera flash illumination circuit. The data recording circuit includes a first charging circuit path having a charging diode and an auxiliary charge storage capacitor for maintaining a charge voltage substantially equal to battery no-load voltage. The optical recording device, typically an LED, is connected to the charge voltage point of the first circuit and, through a switch device to a return terminal of the battery. When the switch device is closed in conjunction with initiating flash illumination, the LED is illuminated by the battery through the charging diode of the first circuit path. If, however, load on the battery from another circuit, such as the flash charging circuit, causes battery voltage to drop below a level needed to effect illumination of the recording device, the auxiliary storage capacitor charge voltage operates to effect illumination of the recording device.

    摘要: In a single use camera having a flash circuit and a film drive motor operated from a single battery source, a control circuit is provided with a diode that is coupled from a terminal on the motor control switch to the flash charging circuit to suppress operation of the flash charging circuit while the film drive motor is operating to advance the film after a picture taking event. The motor OFF position of the control switch is connected to battery positive terminal and the control circuit includes a capacitive connection from the switch to the flash charging circuit such that when the motor switch changes over from the motor ON to motor OFF position, a positive pulse is applied to restart operation of the flash charging circuit when the motor is turned off. This arrangement suppresses operation of the flash charging circuit while the motor is running, allowing full battery current to be applied to the motor. The control circuit is not a part of the primary flash charging circuit path thus it does not adversely affect the charging cycle time.

    摘要: A DC controlled amplifier is used to control the chrominance gain, and hence the color saturation, of a television receiver. The voltage on the wiper of a Color Control variable resistor and the output of an Automatic Color Level (ACL) detector are combined in a summing network to provide a DC voltage to the controlled amplifier. The ACL detector develops an output voltage that tends to maintain the peak-to-peak chrominance signal, and therefore the color saturation, at or below a threshold level. A control tracking circuit varies the threshold level in accordance with the voltage on the wiper of the color control variable resistor, thereby maintaining the dynamic range of the Automatic Color Level Control System relatively independent of the setting of the Color Control.

    摘要: A single touch flash capacitor charging circuit particularly useful in low cost cameras incorporating an oscillation timeout circuit to arrest self-sustaining oscillations for conserving battery consumption. The timeout circuit includes a reference voltage integration circuit coupled to the secondary of the oscillation transformer to develop a reference voltage that is independent of battery voltage. A timer charging circuit is coupled to the voltage reference circuit and determines the timeout period. Closing of a start charge switch resets the timer charging circuit to a fixed voltage differential from the integration circuit reference voltage. When the start charge switch is opened, the timer circuit begins charging to the voltage reference. Once initiated, the flash capacitor charger circuit continues charging the flash capacitor for the duration of the timeout period set by the timer circuit. At the end of the timeout period, the timer charging circuit turns on a pair of switching transistors which operate to shunt off the oscillation transistor in the flash capacitor charger circuit. The start switch resets the timer circuit either through the emitter-base coupled transistors or by auxiliary switch contacts which couple the timer circuit directly to the battery terminal. A low voltage LED charge indicator circuit is also coupled to the transformer secondary to indicate full charge of the flash capacitor.

This is done to prevent the deformation forces from otherwise tending to shift the LED from being precisely positioned relative to the filmstrip.
