摘要： An identifying shield for an electronic instrument housing is formed of elastically stretchable and deformable material. The shield elastically surrounds the periphery of the instrument housing adjacent to its front panel surface, and defines a central opening that exposes the front panel for viewing by an operator. A first portion of the shield defines the central opening overlying the front panel of the instrument housing, and a second portion extends rearwardly from the first portion defining a peripheral band that engages the periphery of the case along its sidewalls adjacent to the front panel. An inwardly extending flange projects from the rearward edges of the peripheral band to enhance frictional engagement with the underlying sidewall surfaces of the instrument housing. The inwardly extending flange may also serve to retain the shield on the housing and to provide sealing between the front panel and the housing by being clamped between the front panel and the forward edges of the sidewalls of the housing. The shield material is resilient and elastically stretchable, so that it can be stretch-fitted over a housing in elastically gripping relationship; the thickness of the shield is selected so that unintended impacts with the outer surface of the shield will be absorbed in part in the shield and will be transmitted in part to the abutting surface of a support panel in which the housing is mounted.

摘要： A first hollow cylindrical member has a first open end and an opposite closed second end with a plurality of spaced off set axially disposed channels therein. A hollow capsule filled with cosmetic powder is closed at one end and open at the other. The capsule is inserted into the first member with the capsule open end adjacent the second end and communicating with the channels. A second hollow cylindrical member has opposite open third and fourth ends. The inner surface of the second member adjacent the third end is threaded. The second end rotatably engages the third end. A hollow cylindrical element is disposed in the second member and is open at both ends. The element has a thread on its outer surface which engages the inner surface thread of the second member. The element has a like plurality of prongs which are engagable with and disengagable from the channels. Manual rotation of the first member relative to the second member causes the element to rotate in and move back and forth along the axial direction to either cause the prongs to engage and close the channels or to be disengaged from and open the channels. A third member contains a brush and is detachably engaged via an open end to the fourth end.

摘要： A first elongated hollow member has a first open end and an opposite closed end with a plurality of small spaced openings therein. A hollow elongated capsule, adapted to be filled with cosmetic powder, closed at one end and open at the other, is removably slidable into and out of the first member. The capsule, when inserted in the first member, has its open end adjacent the second end of the first member and its closed end closing the first end of the second member. A second elongated hollow member has first and second open ends, the first member having its closed end disposed in the first end of the second member. The second member has a cam in the first end with openings aligned with the openings in the closed end of the first member. The second member has a cam follower disposed slidably in the second member, the follower and said cam always being engaged, the follower and cam having a first normal position of engagement at which the follower seals the cam openings and a second momentary position of engagement at which the follower exposes the cam opening. A third elongated hollow member has an open end. A brush has a plurality of essentially parallel bristles with powder applying tips, the brush being disposed in the open third member end, the brush carrying end of the third member being disposed in the second end of the second member and engaging the follower. The second member is slidable back and forth along the third member between a first normal position at which the cam and follower are in the first position of engagement and a second momentary position at which the cam and follower are in the momentary second position of engagement.

摘要： A tufting machine having multi-color selection capability in which an improved selection means enables the selection of one of a plurality of yarns which upon selection is pneumatically transported to a tufting station where a bit-length of yarn is severed and tufted to a backing layer. The selection process comprises individual selection band-like members which, upon selection by solenoid means, engage with an oscillating shaft from which said band-like members extend tangentially.
