    摘要: A device is taught for inspecting the integrity of water distribution pipelines. The device is constructed of housing units, for housing inspection circuitry, which are generally spherical in shape. The housing units are connected by flexible connectors which can, in some embodiments, allow for communication between the units. As such, the device is able to negotiate bends and pass through openings of reduced size in the pipeline. The device can be used with various inspection technologies including remote field eddy current inspection technology. A method for inspecting the integrity of a water pipeline system is disclosed wherein water hydrants can be used to access the system.

    摘要: An exercise rowing machine has a tubular center rail of generally rectangular shape secured to underlying frame members by carriage bolts that have their head slide-mounted in a T-slot formed on the underside of the rail. The rail is formed with side channel tracks for the rollers of the seat carriage. End plates on the rail serve as travel stops for the seat carriage and are mounted by screws passing into longitudinal grooves formed on the inside of the rail. A timer is housed in the rail.

    摘要: Apparatuses, methods for manufacturing an apparatus and methods for measuring a fluid resistivity are provided. An apparatus for measuring a fluid resistivity includes a fluid column defining structure, two current injecting electrodes, voltage measurement electrodes, and two additional electrodes. The fluid column defining structure is configured to allow a fluid, whose resistivity is to be measured, to fill a fluid column inside the fluid column defining structure. The two current injecting electrodes are configured to inject a known current into the fluid column. The voltage measurement electrodes are configured to measure a voltage across a measurement column included in the fluid column. The two additional electrodes disposed inside the fluid column defining structure, outside of the positions of the two current injecting electrodes in the longitudinal direction are electrically connected to each other.

    摘要: Moveable exercise benches are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exercise machine includes a load, an exercise station, and a force-transferring assembly operatively coupling the exercise station and the load. A moveable support is positioned proximate the exercise station and is adapted to support a user during an exercise. The force-transferring assembly is adapted to allow the moveable support to move without decoupling the force-transferring assembly from the exercise station and to allow use of the exercise station at any location of the moveable support without adjustment. The force-transferring assembly may be a cable-and-pulley assembly. In an alternate embodiment, the force-transferring assembly may be adapted to apply a counter force on the moveable support that at least partially counters a reactive force applied by the user to the moveable support during the exertion of the exercising force.

Fiber connectivity between optical nodes in the network, including initial cabling and any subsequent cabling changes or cabling errors, is detected. The connectivity information including initial link connectivity and changes relating to new fiber connectivity is stored. The invention automatically determines cross-connect and lightpath impact of a cabling change, detects if light paths have been automatically rerouted off affected optical links, and supports operator resolution of cabling problems.
