摘要： An article carrier for food and other small items that is supported forward of the junction of a bicycle handlebar and handlebar stem. The carrier is comprised of a frame, a means for stabilizing the frame, and, in the preferred embodiment, a flexible bag. The frame of the carrier has a middle section that passes under the handlebar stem and two sides that pass over the handlebar and extend away from each other and then converge toward each other, with each side having an end that terminates roughly in front of its respective side of the handlebar stem. A stabilization means, which is preferably an elastic shock cord, is attached to one side of the frame at a point in front of the handlebar and passed under the handlebar, over the handlebar stem, and back under the handlebar to a point of attachment on the other side of the frame. The flexible bag of the preferred embodiment has a removable top cover and a sleeve running along an upper section of the bag, with the sleeve being adapted to slide onto the sides of the frame and the bag being dimensioned so that the top of the bag is maintained in an open configuration when the bag is fully inserted onto the frame. In an alternative embodiment, a rigid molded carrier is adapted to be inserted into the frame and engage the sides of the frame.

摘要： The present invention discloses a fluid storage and delivery system for bicyclists. In the preferred embodiment, the fluid is contained in a collapsible fluid container adapted to be removably inserted within the sides of a first support bracket mounted to the bicycle down tube frame member and a second support bracket mounted to the seat tube frame member. A conduit for delivering liquid to a cyclist extends from an inlet end within the fluid container to an outlet end accessible to the cyclist and may include a check valve at its inlet end. The conduit may also include a disconnection means to allow the conduit to be disconnected at the outlet side of the fluid container. Preferably the disconnection means is a quick disconnect tube connector with a flow shut-off capability oriented at the inlet side of the connection, so as to provide a seal against leakage from the fluid container when the connectors are disconnected. The support brackets have sides defining an open space between the sides and a central mounting plate to which the sides are attached, with the mounting plate having a series of apertures along its length and adapted for fastening the mounting plate to the threaded openings customarily used for mounting water bottle cages to bicycle seat and down tube frame members. A molded container adapted to be held within the sides of the support bracket is also disclosed.

摘要： A palm and wrist protector for bicycling and other activities requiring hand and wrist protection. A pad of resilient material covers an area of the hand including the base of the thenar eminence, the saddle between the thumb and forefinger, the distal portion of the palm below the base of the fingers, the ulnar side of the palm, and the wrist crease. The pad includes a tubular section that encircles and protects a proximal portion of the wearer's forefinger. An elastic retaining strap holds the protective pad against the palm while allowing the lower edge of the pad to move freely across the wrist during the side to side movement of the hand. In one embodiment, the pad is a laminate construction that includes a pressure distribution plate sandwiched between two coextensive layers of resilient material that are mated together.

摘要： An adjustable retainer for eyeglasses that have a pair of temple bars. The retainer includes two cords of preferably the same length, one of which is attached to the right temple bar and the other of which is attached to the left temple bar. In one embodiment, the cords are attached by inserting a loop in the end of the cord partially through a hole in the end of the temple bar, and then passing the tail end of the cord through the loop and pulling the cord to tighten the loop around the temple bar. In another embodiment, two elastic cords, each having an enlargement at one end, are pulled through their respective temple bar holes so that the enlargement is held against the outer surface of the hole. In both embodiments, the tail ends of the cords are inserted through a cord holder, which is preferably a cord lock, and secured together to form a stop for the cord holder.
