摘要： An electrical card connector (1) includes an insulative housing (10) enclosed by a metallic shield (28). The housing (10) defines a receiving space (18) with first and second sets of contacts (22, 24) disposed in the housing (10) and communicating with the receiving space (18). A protection door (40) is pivotally mounted to the housing (10) in an entrance opening (19) blocking the receiving space (18) from an exterior. A moveable locking member (60) releasably locks the protection door (40). The protection door (40) defines a cutout to leave a small entrance opening (46) to allow a small sized card (300) to be guidably and snugly inserted into the receiving space (18) wherein the protection door (40) is equipped with another small pivotal anti-dust door (56) to cover that small entrance opening (46). Therefore, the card connector (1) can mutually exclusively receive the large sized card (200) and the small sized card (300) guidably and reliably.

摘要： The latching mechanism includes an insulative fixing device, a metallic spring latching device and a metallic grounding device, wherein the fixing device includes the card supporting portion and a positioning post upwardly extending therefrom corresponding to the positioning hole of the electronic card. The latching device includes a connection portion connected to the fixing device, the spring arm extending from the connection portion and the hook portion located on the spring arm and extending toward the card edge connector for locking the rear portion of the electronic card. The grounding device is electrically connected to the latching device and includes mounting legs mechanically and electrically engaged with the corresponding grounding pads formed on the printed circuit board for grounding.

摘要： A latching mechanism for holding an electronic card on a printed circuit board, includes an insulative fixing device mounted to the printed circuit board and a metallic latching device attached to the fixing device. The fixing device provides the positioning post extending through the positioning hole of the electronic card and the latching device provides a hook section downwardly pressing the electronic card so as to have the electronic card in a parallel relation with the printed circuit board. A card edge connector is provided on the printed circuit board for cooperatively holding the electronic card thereon.

摘要： A board to board electrical connector for electrically connecting a first substrate to a second substrate on which the electrical connector is mounted, comprises an insulated housing and a pair of actuators. The insulated housing further includes an elongated slot and a pair of receiving sections for receipt of the first substrate wherein each receiving section consists of a first cavity for pivotably receiving an actuator therein, a second cavity for clamping a lateral edge of the inserted first substrate therebetween to restrict the first substrate from moving along a first direction, and a partition for restricting the first substrate from moving along a second direction. The actuator includes a locking portion capable of extending through an indent defined on the partition to latch with a corresponding notch of the first substrate received within the second cavity thereby restricting the first substrate from moving along a third direction. Therefore, the inserted first substrate can be firmly retained within the connector in three-dimensional directions to avoid an electrical disengagement or a poor electrical engagement between the connector and the first substrate.

A plurality of contacts are provided by two sides of the central slot (14) for mechanical and electrical engagement with the corresponding circuit pads on the module (100). A pair of platforms (18) are provided adjacent two opposite ends of the housing (12). A pair of latch devices (20) are provided at two opposite ends of the housing (12a) wherein each latch device (20) includes a plastic member (22) and a metal member (24). The plastic member (22) integrally extends forward from the housing (12) with a locking head (48) proximate the distal free end thereof. The metal member (24) includes a first vertical plate (26) in abutment with the plastic member (22) for cooperation with the plastic member (22) during the lateral rotative movement of the plastic member (22), and a second vertical plate (30) for retaining the metal member (100) in position with regard to the housing (12). An upward tag (42) and a downward tag (44) respectively extend from a horizontal bend (38) which extends horizontally and inward from the lower edge (40) of the first plate (26) wherein the upward tag (42) provides linking-up between the metal member (26) and the plastic member (22), and the downward tag (44) provides a stopper function for preventing over-lateral movement of the plastic member (22) with regard to the housing (12).
