    摘要: A door adjusting mechanism enables adjusting a position of a door moving in a track. The adjusting mechanism includes a truck member secured to the door and having moving structure engageable with the track. A connector connects the truck member to the door and includes cam structure for adjusting a position of the door relative to the truck member, thereby adjusting a position of the door relative to the track. In one arrangement, the truck member supports an adjuster bolt, and a connector includes an offset aperture that fits over the adjuster bolt. A nut is engageable with the adjuster bolt to secure the connector to the truck member. A position of the door in the track is adjusted by simply rotating the connector.

    摘要: A self-sealing gasket is suitable for sealing a curved object to a surface. The gasket includes a pair of side rails and a support panel between the side rails. Respective top portions of the side rails extend above the support panel to define an object receiving channel on an upper side of the gasket. Respective bottom portions of the side rails extend below the support panel to define a deflection cavity on a lower side of the gasket. The gasket is formed of a flexible material such that when the curved object is received in the object receiving channel and the curved object and gasket are fixed to the surface, the top portions of the side rails deflect inward to seal the curved object. By virtue of material deflection, a dense material may be used for the gasket while maintaining flexibility.

    摘要: A glazing material assembly for closing a window, hatch, or windshield opening in a boat is simple and easy to install and does not require the use of chemicals nor have the time delays associated with conventional installation procedures. The glazing material assembly includes a transparent or translucent piece of glass, or other conventional glazing, having a circumferential portion, and first and second opposite faces, and at least one relatively rigid angle (made of aluminum, fiberglass, molded plastic, or the like) connected to the second face and extending adjacent and generally coincident with the circumferential portion. The angle has first and second substantially transverse interior surfaces which cooperate with like surfaces on a boat cabin body defining an opening which the glass assembly closes. The glass may have a substantially polygonal shape having a plurality of sides, and the at least one angle preferably comprises a plurality of angles, one for each of the sides of the polygon shape. The angles are typically affixed (e.g. by welding or adhesive) together to define a substantially unitary piece, with mitred or bent corners. Foam tape and adhesive preferably connect the angles to the glass second face, and a sealant bead (such as silicone or urethane) engages the glass second face adjacent and exterior of the foam tape and extending substantially around the entire periphery of the glass. Blackout may be provided between the sealant bead and the glass to prevent UV degradation of the sealant. During installation another sealant bead is provided between the circumferential edge of the glass and the cabin body.

The hinge includes a base member securable to the frame, a first pivot member pivotably coupled with the base member at a first pivot joint, and a second pivot member pivotably coupled with the base member at a second pivot joint spaced from the first pivot joint. The first and second pivot members each have a glass channel for supporting a panel of the two-panel window assembly. In one arrangement, an insert is secured in a pivoting path of the second pivot member to thereby limit a pivot range of the second pivot member. The hinge eliminates the significant machining time required for prior hinge designs, thereby resulting in a simpler less expensive hinge.

    摘要: A joint system enables pivotable coupling between a first frame member and a second frame member. The joint system includes a mounting ball assembly affixable to the first frame member, and a connector engageable with the mounting ball assembly at one end and affixable to the second frame at an opposite end. The connector is constructed such that it is movable on the mounting ball assembly in a folding plane and through a clearance amount in a clearance plane substantially perpendicular to the folding plane. A continuous passage is defined through the mounting ball assembly and the connector.

    摘要: A releasable fastener assembly is affixable through a panel having a front side and a back side and a mounting hole therethrough. The releasable fastener assembly includes a mounting button attachable to the panel back side, the mounting button having a button shaft sized to fit into the mounting hole and a button head with a diameter larger than the mounting hole. A seal may be fit between the mounting button and the panel back side. One part of a releasable fastener is attachable to the panel front side and has an aperture therein in alignment with the mounting hole. A fixing member secures the one part and the mounting button to each other through the panel.
