摘要： A two piece combination of a container and cap, wherein the neck portion of the container and the flange of the cap have interengaging locking elements for securing the pieces together. A generally cylindrical flexible wall is an extension of the container neck, and terminates in annular free end perpendicular to the container neck. This annular free end engages an internally beveled surface of the cap, such that when the locking elements are engaged, the annular free end is deflected radially inwardly to provide an axially biasing force maintaining the elements engaged and also providing a seal between that member and the cap beveled surface.

摘要： The combination of a container and a safety cap therefor in which the safety cap has a closure plane and a circumferential outer skirt for engaging a container and has a circumferential resilient depending inner member. The container has a rigid wall having an end for engagement with the cap internally of the outer skirt. The wall is tapered from a smaller diameter portion adjacent the closure plane of the cap to a larger diameter portion remote from the closure plane of the cap. The tapered wall of the container engages internally the resilient inner member of the cap and the larger diameter portion of the wall expands the resilient inner member outwardly to provide a working seal of the container as well as a bias on the cap in a direction of removal of the cap. The combination also includes means disposed on the container remotely from the end of the rigid wall and cooperative means on the cap for preventing the cap from being removed from the container without depression of the cap on the container and rotation of the cap on the container. When the container is used as a bottle, the container preferably includes means for providing a tamper evident seal, whereby it will be obvious that the contents have been sealed with a material protecting the contents of the container. Any penetration of the seal prior to the removal and destruction of the seal by the user will be evidence of the lack of integrity of the contents of the container.

摘要： The pump includes components designed for fabrication by high speed injection molding from plastic material, and is adapted for mounting by a suitable closure to a container. The basic components are a base, a head and an actuator. The base provides a sealed closure with the mouth of the container and provides a support barrel for the head. The support barrel also includes structure providing an inlet check valve seat, and for supporting the dip tube. The head includes a body having a dependent support stem for latching engagement with the support barrel, and a laterally projecting hollow plunger for supporting the actuator. The actuator is essentially a hollow barrel received over the plunger to define a variable pumping chamber, having a discharge orifice at its distal end, and having a trigger handle for manipulation and pumping action by the user. A compression spring within the pumping chamber assists in the pumping action. These basic components include coacting structure for latching the plunger in a locked condition where the container can be shipped with the pump assembly attached and leakage is prevented, and wherein the latching structure is designed to inhibit release of the plunger to the pumping position by children. As an accompanying structure, the pump base and container may have coacting structural features for latching the pump assembly to the container in a manner to inhibit removal of the pump assembly from the container by children.

A plate mount (22) retains the plate assembly (18), and has at least one pair of passages (24a and 24b) formed therethrough for communicating the fluid (14) out of the interior chamber (16) and an external fluid into the interior chamber (16) of the mask (10). Compatible portions (26a and 26b) of the pliable outer section (20) movably cover the passages (24a and 24b) in the plate mount (22) forming at least one inlet valve (28) that permits the flow of the external fluid into the interior chamber (16) and a second outlet valve (30) that permits the exhaust of combined fluid out of the interior chamber (16).

摘要： A safety cap and container is disclosed which is resistant to accidental opening. Such a cap and container include cooperating ratchet means on the cap and the container which normally hold the cap against undesired movement with respect to the container. A tapered internal surface is provided in the container and an internal resilient dependent member is provided on the cap so as to engage the tapered surface. Such engagement normally holds the ratchet means so that the cap cannot be moved with respect to the container. When, however, pressure is applied to the cap above the dependent member, this member is deflected by the tapered surface so as to allow movement of the cap so as to disengage the ratchet means, permitting the cap to be removed from the container.
