摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for image processing of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) image data, in connection with radiotherapy planning and treatments. Example operations for training a regression model for data processing include: obtaining a reference medical image of an anatomical area of a human patient; generating a set of CBCT projections from the reference medical image at each of a plurality of projection viewpoints in a CBCT projection space; generating a set of simulated scatter data to represent effects of scatter from CBCT imaging in each respective projection in the set of CBCT projections; and training the regression model using the set of CBCT projections and the set of simulated scatter data. Further operations for use of the trained regression model, and inferring scatter or scatter-corrected projections from the trained regression model, are disclosed.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for image processing of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) image data, in connection with radiotherapy planning and treatments. Example operations for training of a predictive regression model include: obtaining a reference medical image of an anatomical area (e.g., from a reference CT image); generating variation images that provide variation in representations of the anatomical area (e.g., from deformation or geometric transformation); identifying projection viewpoints (e.g., from projection capture angles in a CBCT projection space) for each of the plurality of variation images; generating, at each of the projection viewpoints, a set of CBCT projections and a corresponding set of simulated aspects of the CBCT projections; training an algorithm in the regression model, using the corresponding sets of the CBCT projections and the simulated aspects of the CBCT projections. Corresponding operations for the use of the regression model, including in radiotherapy treatments, are also disclosed.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for registering images. The systems and methods perform operations comprising: receiving, at a first time point in a given radiation session, a first imaging slice corresponding to a first plane; encoding the first imaging slice to a lower dimensional representation; applying a trained machine learning model to the encoded first imaging slice to estimate an encoded version of a second imaging slice corresponding to a second plane at the first time point to provide a pair of imaging slices for the first time point; simultaneously spatially registering the pair of imaging slices to a volumetric image, received prior to the given radiation session, comprising a time-varying object to calculate displacement of the object; and generating an updated therapy protocol to control delivery of a therapy beam based on the calculated displacement of the object.

摘要: The present invention relates to the field of radiation therapy and methods, software and systems for image registration. According to the present invention, methods for image registration of images of a patient comprising are provided. The method may include receiving a set of image data from the patient; selecting one or more tracking regions in the set of image data, each tracking region including a tracking point or set of tracking points; receiving sets of image data captured at different times from the patient; identifying corresponding tracking regions in the sets of image data captured at different times; estimating a displacement field describing displacement vectors for a number of points in the sets of image data including the tracking regions, each displacement vector specifying a position of a region in reference to a previous position.
