    摘要: These amusement devices enable users to experience the sensations of zero gravity or weightlessness in free flight, with the sensations heightened because the users experience gravity forces in excess of one while being accelerated into and retrieved from free flight. The apparatus comprises coordinated, cooperating acceleration and retrieval means. The flight may be essentially vertical or have a parabolic trajectory. Use of the apparatus is not dependent on the physical condition and ability of users.

    摘要: A squeezing finger pressure is exerted on a trigger mechanism carried by a finger-grip portion of a hypodermic syringe. The depressed trigger mechanism displaces a V-shaped lock spring inwardly, moving a bight portion of the spring out from locking engagement with a lock opening. This frees a compressed compression spring allowing it to drive an internal bushing, a cartridge within a barrel portion of the syringe, a second bushing at the front end of the syringe, and a needle forwardly together, relative to the finger-grip body and the barrel of the syringe. This is done for the purpose of penetrating a needle into tissue in which an injection is to be made.

    摘要: The holders are attachable to the edges of planar support surfaces for music and serve to hold the music in place against the effects of wind, gravity and characteristics of the music material. Each holder comprises attachment apparatus and a spring arm extending from it to contact the music. In a preferred embodiment the spring comprises an arm portion and a pivot portion which, when the spring is relaxed, is at an 80.degree. angle to the arm portion. The pivot portion is carried in a hole in the attachment apparatus, the hole and pivot portion being inclined at a 3.degree. angle off of normal to the planar support surface angled toward the leafed material. The arm portion can thus be pivoted so that its end is either in or clear of the locations in which music is placed to be held. Height of the arm portion is adjustable by sliding the pivot portion in the hole in the attachment apparatus, thus accommodating variations in the thickness of the music material and allowing the arm to be positioned to lie flat against held material to allow free turning of unheld material.

    摘要: A magnetic resonance imaging receiver system for producing high resolution images of the foot and ankle regions of a human subject. The magnetic resonance imaging receiver comprises an antenna for receiving resonance signals produced by a magnetic resonance imaging, radio frequency excitation magnetic apparatus, a free standing foot cradle assembly for supporting and rigidly holding the foot and ankle of the subject, and a tuning/impedance matching circuit for providing for the maximum transfer of radio frequency energy from the antenna to the receiver unit in the magnetic resonance imaging, radio frequency excitation magnet apparatus. The system utilizes fixed local coils which operate in the receive only mode for receiving electromagnetic signals from resonating nuclei produced by a whole body MRI scanner system or the like to produce high quality images.
