    Abstract: In the transmission of a message (LU) from a subscriber station (MS), a cell recognition signal (e.g. CI2) identifying the current radio cell (e.g. C2) in which the subscriber station (MS) is located is transmitted towards the mobile radio system with it and stored in a subscriber database (NVLR) of the mobile radio system.
