    Abstract: A blanking tool for use with a die cutting machine is provided. The die cutting machine includes first and second frame members disposed in a substantially parallel spaced relationship with respect to one another. The first frame member includes a slot extending along the first frame member. The blanking tool includes a lower blanking frame and a receiver tool. The lower blanking frame includes first and second running rails and first and second cross rails. The first running rail extends in a first direction. The second running rail is disposed in a substantially parallel spaced relationship with respect to the first running rail. The first cross rail extends in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first running rail and coupled to the first and second running rails. The second cross rail is disposed in a substantially parallel spaced relationship with respect to the first cross rail and coupled to the first and second running rails. The receiver tool includes first and second receiver rails and first and second mounting assemblies. The first receiver rail is disposed alongside and coupled to the first running rail. The first receiver rail has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion is coupled to the first mounting assembly that is further operably coupled to the first frame member. The second end portion is disposed on the second frame member. The second receiver rail is disposed alongside and coupled to the second running rail. The second receiver rail has a third end portion and a fourth end portion. The third end portion is coupled to the second mounting assembly that is further operably coupled to the first frame member. The fourth end portion is disposed on the second frame member. The blanking tool is further configured so the first and second mounting assemblies slidably engage the slot of the first frame member such that the first and second mounting assemblies slide along a length of the slot relative to one another when the first and second mounting assemblies have an unlocked operational position.

    Abstract: A presser assembly is provided for a die cutting machine. The presser assembly includes a support member and a channel extending along an axis. The channel has an opening directed towards the support member and is movable between a first retracted position wherein the channel is adjacent to the support member and a second extended position. A mounting structure extends between the support member and the channel. The mounting structure has a first end operatively connected to the support member and a second end. A clamping mechanism selectively clamps the second end of the mounting structure to the channel at a user selected axial location.

    Abstract: A bending device for forming a blanking tool of a die cutter used for cutting folding carton blanks. The bending device includes a support member defining a planar work surface, an axle member defining a longitudinal axis of rotation and orientated for rotation about said axis in a plane passing through said axis and perpendicular to said work surface, locator pins on said support member defining a plurality of bending stations and cooperable with said axle member to position said axle member at one of said bending stations during a bending operation; mounting arms for mounting said axle member on said support member to permit movement of said axle member to any one of said bending stations; and a roller mounted eccentrically at the lower end of said axle member and defining a bending axis parallel to and spaced from said rotational axis. When the axle member is positioned at a bending station and rotated a workpiece located between the roller and locator pin is bent to a desired angle.

    Abstract: A grid bending machine is provided for bending a workpiece. The machine includes first and second guides having inner surfaces defining a cavity therebetween. A stationary anvil is mounted to the first and second guides. A first die is releaseably connected to the stationary anvil. A body is disposed in the cavity and is movable between a first position release position and a second bending position. A second die is releaseably connected to the body and is aligned with the first die.     Abstract: A clamping mechanism is provided for supporting a plurality of tools for use in a folder gluer machine. The clamping mechanism includes first and second clamps. Each clamp defines a corresponding clamping cavity for receiving a tool therein.
