    摘要: A force-fitting clamping connection includes a first metal clamping surface, a second metal clamping surface, and a clamping element for clamping the clamping surfaces against one another. The first clamping surface forms a hardened fine surface structure with microreliefs and microdepressions. The second clamping surface has a lower hardness than the first clamping surface. Preferably, the first clamping surface is surface-treated by sand-blasting, shot-blasting or embossing before the hardening operation. This allows permanently high friction coefficient values between the clamping surfaces. A flange connection includes such a clamping connection for transmitting high torques.

    摘要: The invention relates to a modular construction system. In particular, but not exclusively, the invention relates to a construction system, including modules, which are capable of being used in a wide range of applications including buildings and various other structures. Prior systems included structured modules connected by means of flexible joints which were composed of cables. These allowed relative movement between walls of various units. Such systems were complex and expensive to manufacture An improved modular construction system overcame this problem by providing a plurality of structural elements of V-shaped or chevron-shaped cross section. These are adapted to be assembled in a cellular configuration by their similar form, size and by virtue of the elements having apertures. Any aperture may receive a connector, which permits an amount of relative movement between said elements in two-rotational degrees of freedom.

    摘要: A washer (14) and a threaded assembly (22) between a screw (30) and a workpiece (42) are provided. The washer (14) is offset up to an angle (α) with respect to a flat initial state, such that the washer has an insert thickness (De) that is substantially greater than the initial thickness (Da) thereof. The washer (14) is made of a malleable material. The length (Lg) of an unthreaded shank section (40) of the screw (30) is smaller than the sum of the thickness (Dw) of the workpiece (42) and the insert thickness (De) of the washer (14), and essentially not smaller than the sum of the thickness (Dw) of the workpiece (14) and the insert thickness (Da) of the washer (14). When the last thread of the screw (30) leaves the workpiece (42) on being screwed in, the force previously exerted on the washer (14) by the feed of the screw is zero. The washer (14) has been plastically deformed thereby, such that the washer retains the flattened state thereof and bridges the space between the workpiece (42) and the screw head (34) free from play. The workpiece (42) and the washer (14) thereby remain firmly clamped between the head (34) and the thread (36) of the screw (30), and the prevention of inverse rotation is ensured.

    摘要: A connector assembly pivotally couples a caster assembly with a pivot arm of an agricultural implement. The connector assembly includes first and second structural support plates having openings to receive a connector pin therethrough pivotally coupling the arm between the plates. A fixed collar having a bore, and a lock pin passage aligned perpendicular thereto, is fixed at one of the first or second structural support plates to receive the connector pin therethrough. The connector pin includes a first end having an exterior threaded portion and a second end having a connector pin opening. The connector pin opening and the lock pin opening receive a lock pin therethrough that secures a position of the connector pin in the collar. Tightening a nut at the threaded end of the connector causes the structural support plates to squeeze against the arm, enhancing lateral support of the arm.

    摘要: An item such as a passenger assist handle is anchored to an automotive framing component by a mounting stud passing through a hole in the framing component. The mounting stud includes a shaft with a helix at a first end and a threaded portion at a second end. The helix and threaded portion are of opposite hands and the threaded portion receives a stop nut thereon. The automotive framing component has a teardrop shaped opening therethrough having a first diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the shaft and a second diameter substantially equal to the radius of the helix. Upon threading the nut onto the shaft, while the stud is held initially stationary by frictional engagement between its surface and surfaces of the framing component adjacent to the teardrop shaped opening, the stop nut bottoms against a shoulder on the shaft and then begins rotating the shaft to drive the helix through the teardrop shaped opening. The stop nut then engages the base portion and urges the base portion of the item into a tight relationship with the faming component. Preferably, the mounting stud is made of an acetal homopolymer.

    摘要: A fastener for joining trim pieces to a motor vehicle includes a metal insert molded into an elastomeric body of a fastener. An anti-rotational rib prevents excessive rotation of the fastener after installation. Oppositely extending flexible wings of the metal insert are spaced from each other to allow full deflection upon insert of the fastener without interference between the flexible wings. Protective guards formed at distal ends of a pair of support legs provide improved insertion alignment for the fastener as well as protection between the fastener and metal surfaces of the vehicle. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, a dog house assembly is provided having aperture and slots mating with the installation features of the silver plate fastener. In still another embodiment, a method for installing a silver plate molding into a vehicle using a fastener of the present disclosure is provided.
