摘要: A combustion system includes a topping cycle that generates a flow of exhaust gas, a bottoming cycle, and a fuel cell. The fuel cell includes an anode side, a cathode side, and an electrolyte. The cathode side receives the flow of exhaust gas from the topping cycle via a cathode inlet line. The cathode side removes a first portion of pollutants from the exhaust gas. A heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) receives the exhaust gases from the cathode side via a cathode outlet line, and the HRSG generates a flow of steam for use in the bottoming cycle. A bypass line extends from the cathode inlet line to the cathode outlet line. The combustion system further includes a carbon capture system that is fluidly coupled to the HRSG via an HRSG outlet line. The carbon capture system removes a second portion of pollutants from the exhaust gas.

The system further including a first contactor and a second contactor. Each of the first contactor and the second contactor defining therein a first fluidically-isolated, sorbent-integrated, fluid domain for flow of the first fluid stream and CO2 adsorption and a second fluidically-isolated fluid domain for flow of the second fluid stream to assist in desorption.

摘要: A combustor for a gas turbine engine includes a head end section containing a fuel nozzle assembly and a liner extending downstream from the head end section to an aft frame and defining a combustion chamber therein. First injectors, disposed at a first axial location, directs a first fuel/air mixture through the liner. Second injectors, disposed at a second downstream axial location, direct a second fuel/air mixture through the liner. A compressor discharge casing, which at least partially surrounds the combustor, defines a plenum from which a first air supply is directed only to the first injectors, a second air supply is directed only to the second injectors, and a third air supply is directed only to the head end section. The second air supply is greater than each of the first air supply and the third air supply.

摘要: A combustor head end section includes a bundled tube fuel nozzle assembly and an air supply system. The fuel nozzle assembly includes: a forward plate facing a head end air plenum, an aft plate facing a combustion chamber, premixing tubes extending from the forward plate to the aft plate, and a side wall extending circumferentially around the premixing tubes. The forward plate, the aft plate, and the side wall define a fuel plenum, and each premixing tube includes at least one fuel injection hole in fluid communication with the fuel plenum. The air supply system comprises the head end air plenum, a first inlet flow conditioner partially defining the head end air plenum and surrounding the bundled tube fuel nozzle assembly, and a second inlet flow conditioner surrounding the first inlet flow conditioner. The head end air plenum is in fluid communication with a combustion chamber, via the premixing tubes.

摘要: A method for redirection of coolant flow is provided. The method includes an identifying step that identifies a hot spot on an exterior surface of a body of a component of a turbine system. A first parameter of the component indicates that a temperature of the exterior surface in the hot spot exceeds a threshold value. Another identifying step identifies a cool spot on the exterior surface. A second parameter of the component indicates that the temperature of the exterior surface in the cool spot is below the threshold value. A reconfiguring step reconfigures a plurality of cooling passages of the component to direct a portion of a coolant from the cool spot to the hot spot.
