    摘要: A water based inkjet ink set with excellent image stability, durability and quality, comprising at least one cyan ink, at least one magenta ink, at least one yellow ink, at least one black ink, and at least one colorless protective ink, wherein: (a) the cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks each comprise a pigment colorant; (b) the cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and colorless protective inks each comprise a polymeric binder additive; and (c) the surface tensions of the inks have the following relationships: (i) the dynamic surface tension at 10 milliseconds surface age for all inks of the ink set is greater than or equal to 35 mN/m, (ii) the static surface tensions of the yellow ink and of the colorless protective ink are at least 2.0 mN/m lower than the static surface tensions of the cyan, magenta and black inks of the ink set and (iii) the static surface tension of the colorless protective ink is at least 1.0 mN/m lower than the static surface tension of the yellow ink.

    摘要: An ink set composition, an apparatus, and a method of providing an image on a receiver are provided. The method includes operating a printhead having a first segment that applies a gloss matching fluid to the non-imaged area of the printed area of the image and a second segment that applies an ink set having at least one color to the imaged area of the printed area of the image, wherein the ink set has a predetermined minimum gloss value (GVmin) and a maximum gloss value (GVmax), and the gloss matching fluid has a predetermined gloss value (GVGMF), wherein the predetermined gloss value GVGMF satisfying the following condition: 0.1 GVmin≦GVGMF ≦1.5 GVmax, wherein GVmin and GVmaxare predetermined gloss values calculated according to the following equations: GVmin=MIN(GV1, GV2, . . . , GVi, . . . , GVn) GVmax=MAX(GV1, GV2, . . . , GVi, . . . , GVn) where, i is a variable which identifies a certain color patch used in the evaluation, and n is the total number of color patches used in the evaluation. The apparatus includes an ink set source having at least one color and a source of gloss matching fluid connected to the printhead adapted to deliver the ink set and the gloss matching fluid to a receiver based on data received from a controller.

The inks of the present invention have improved print density on plain paper, good text quality, improved print durability such as waterfastness and excellent jetting performance over an extended printing period. They further provide good print uniformity over a wide variety of inkjet receivers.
