    摘要: A magnetooptic device to be used in industrial applications to investigate articles for flaws or defects. The magnetooptic device is capable of revealing defects in articles of nonmagnetic and magnetic conducting material. These results are achieved by designing a magnetooptic device having a magnetooptic transformer element on its bottom surface and incorporating a front electrical contact and a rear electrical contact on the bottom surface of the MO device. The respective electrical contacts are connected by wire conductors to the respective positive and negative terminals of a source of electrical current. The defect pattern of an article can be either visually viewed or the defect pattern can be recorded on a tape or magnetic rubber sheet placed between the bottom surface of the MO device and the top surface of the article being analyzed.

The circuit is comprised of a plurality of Darlington devices having a drive circuit from a motor controller connected to a common base connection and a plurality of active pull-down circuits for reducing the rise and fall times and effectively controlling the storage times of the power transistors. The active pull-down circuits are capacity coupled to an inverted drive signal to synchronize the turn-off time and speed-up discharge of storage in the power transistor circuit.

    摘要: An analog-digitizer sound system for motion pictures that automatically converts both old and new analog stereo film-sound tracks to digital quality sound. The system eliminates the noise, rumble and hiss from any standard 35 mm analog optical sound track. By simply playing the film through the projector sound head in the normal manner the system automatically converts the analog optical sound tracks to digital format. No special storing of digital data on film is required and no special digital decoder equipment is needed. The system produces noise-free sound, increased frequency response, expanded dynamic range and clarity of dialogue. Film studios will no longer need to maintain a double inventory of digital and analog sound or process sound tracks for noise reduction.

    摘要: The system eliminates the noise, rumble and hiss from any standard 35 mm analog optical sound track. By simply feeding the film through the projector sound head in a normal manner the system automatically converts the analog optical sound tracks to digital quality.     摘要: A source of driving signals is coupled to a thermal transducer wire to provide a completed circuit. The source may include a DC bias supply and an audio amplifier. The bias supply heats the wire to a predetermined temperature, and the amplifier heats and cools the wire above and below the predetermined temperature. The wire expands and contracts in response to the audio signals, thus providing for acoustic reproduction thereof. The wire may be coupled to a diaphragm, such as a conventional speaker cone, to accomplish the acoustic reproduction. A lever arrangement coupled between the wire and the diaphragm may be employed to obtain increased diaphragm motion. A lever arrangement employing two wires in a push-pull configuration is also provided for obtaining increased motion. Additionally, a true RMS meter and a relay are provided which incorporate the heated wire thermal motion arrangement.

    摘要: An arrangement to provide feedback to amplifier systems incorporating an electrical load. A current transformer in conjunction with a resistor is incorporated to provide a feedback correction signal to an amplifier which corrects for distortion caused by both the amplifier and the inductive load. A first embodiment provides a single-ended amplifier driving a load and incorporates the current transformer between the output of the amplifier and the load. The secondary winding of the transformer is in series with the input to the amplifier, and a resistor is connected across the secondary winding. The transformer determines the frequency bandwidth of the entire amplifier system, and the resistor value determines the gain of the amplifier. Such a configuration provides negative feedback to the amplifier which is directly proportional to changes in current in the load due to distortions caused by the amplifier or load. The second embodiment applies the principles of the present invention to a differential amplifier configuration. The primary winding of the current transformer is connected between the output of the amplifier and one end of the load. A secondary winding of the transformer is connected to the other end of the load and to the negative input of the differential amplifier. A resistor is connected across the secondary winding of the transformer.
