    摘要: A user interface transition between a camera view and a map view displayed on a mobile platform is provided so as present a clear visual connection between the orientation in the camera view and the orientation in the map view. The user interface transition may be in response to a request to change from the camera view to the map view or vice-versa. Augmentation overlays for the camera view and map view may be produced based on, e.g., the line of sight of the camera or identifiable environmental characteristics visible in the camera view and the map view. One or more different augmentation overlays are also produced and displayed to provide the visual connection between the camera view and map view augmentation overlays. For example, a plurality of augmentation overlays may be displayed consecutively to clearly illustrate the changes between the camera view and map view augmentation overlays.

    摘要: A FormLogic (FL) client/server system and method to access existing enterprise data sources on an occasional basis. The system includes a FL builder program to generate a communications agent that encapsulates a communication session. The session includes one or more related tasks. The system also includes a FL server which is connected to one or more enterprise data sources. The FL server provides the ability to link hardware devices running a FL engine as a client to access existing enterprise data sources on an occasional basis. It is optimized to communicate by exchanging a minimum amount of data, since the wireless transports do not move large amounts of data quickly and data is expensive to move. Each session encompasses connecting the remote host, performing a specific task or set of tasks, then disconnecting from the host. Because the connection times must be short, the client and server need to be able to perform the required tasks without user intervention. The FL engine includes a user interface, a script engine, a communications module, and a local data store, and preferably runs on a mobile personal digital assistant. Upon connection, this local database is automatically manipulated by the FL server. The FL server can query the FL client database, add data to the client database, or remove data from the client database so as to make updates to both the client and server databases for reflecting changes that have happened on both sides since the last connection.

    摘要: A system and method for providing computerized forms completion and processing. A forms designer utilizes a forms creation module that includes a scripting feature to create an electronic form. The scripting feature provides flow of control statements and a variety of functions useful in forms, e.g., such as questionnaires. These functions include data validation, field navigation/control (e.g., skip), context sensitive help, data formatting, alert sounds and dialog boxes. The scripting feature ensures that skip patterns are followed correctly and that the form is completed accurately. The forms creation program generates a field description record for each field created by the forms designer. The set of field description records that define the electronic form is then transferred to a handheld computer, such as a personal digital assistant (PDA). A user of the form, such as a respondent to a survey, utilizes the PDA to respond to the statements or questions that are part of the form. A forms engine executing on the PDA interprets one field at a time and displays that field in the sequence designed by the forms designer. Each field includes a prompt portion, an answer box portion, and a control portion that are displayed together on the display screen of the PDA. After the form is completed, the response data is optionally transferred to another computer for further processing or reporting.
