Abstract: An illustration unit is disclosed for use by people who have less than optimal gripping capability. The handle of the illustration unit has a diameter sufficient to allow the user's pinky, ring and middle fingers come near too or in contact with the thenar while. prevent a user's pinky, ring and middle fingers from contacting a user's proximal or distal palmar. Preferably handle is configured to enable said user to contact a surface with said at least one marking element, said surface being approximately parallel to said user's body.
