    摘要: A shaft structure with a configurable bending profile is provided for golf clubs, fishing rods, and the like. The shaft structure employs a plurality of tensioned sections. The golfer, in practice, configures the bending profile of a golf shaft by adjusting the internal pressure of the sections in order to change the stiffness of that section. The combination of sections and their associated stiffness results in an advantageous bending profile. The golfer can, at any time and very easily, change the bending profile of the golf shaft.

    摘要: The collision avoidance system includes structure mountable at the side mirror position of a vehicle. The system includes a rotatable mirror and an ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit which is adaptable to scan a predetermined area about the vehicle to detect the presence of an object and to calculate its distance from the vehicle. If the distance and speed are determined to pose a threat, the distance is placed on a display and an alarm is sounded. Two displays are provided, one for the forward end of the vehicle and another for the rear end of the vehicle. The system operates when the vehicle is moving forwardly and rearwardly. Also, when the vehicle is not moving, the presence of a potential intruder is also monitored and the system can actuate an anti-theft alarm of the vehicle. Further, the system can be programmed by a plurality of operators to particular distances, with the system discerning which operator is driving and automatically using that operator's input.

    摘要: A shaft structure with a configurable bending, weight, torque and moment-of-inertia profile is provided for golf clubs, fishing rods, and the like. The shaft structure employs an innovative inner and outer shaft structure. The golfer, in practice, configures the profile of a golf shaft by choosing from a plurality of different inner shaft structures each having a unique bending, weight, moment-of-inertia and torque profile. The inner shaft is securely fastened within the outer shaft. The combination of the inner shaft with the outer shaft results in an advantageous bending, weight, torque and moment-of-inertia profile. The golfer can, at any time and very easily, change the profile of the golf shaft according to their physical, course and weather conditions for any given day.

    摘要: A cupola emission control system is provided that includes both improved physical emission control equipment and improved controls for operating such equipment. The physical emission control improvements include an orifice ring of restricted diameter above the cupola main afterburners to improve the turbulence of the air in the upper cupola area to allow improved combustion of carbon monoxide. Further, twin venturis are provided with improved air passage control equipment to affect the temperature in the upper cupola combustion area. Further, an improved control system is provided whereby actual time calculations are made for remaining emission permitted amounts of certain pollutants, mainly carbon monoxide, and real time adjustments are made for cupola operation to assure compliance with such permitted emission limits.
