摘要: A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.

摘要: A system and method for processing unconditioned syngas first removes solids and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC), then removes volatile organic compounds (VOC), and then removes at least one sulfur containing compound from the syngas. Additional processing may be performed depending on such factors as the source of syngas being processed, the products, byproducts and intermediate products desired to be formed, captured or recycled and environmental considerations.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for the removal of urea dust from the off-gas of a finishing section of a urea production plant. the method comprises subjecting the off-gas to quenching with water so as to produce quenched off-gas. The quenched off-gas is subjected to humidification by mixing said quenched gas stream with a humidification fluid selected from (a) saturated steam and (b) superheated steam mixed with a second aqueous stream, so as to produce a humidified gas stream, subjecting said humidified gas stream to particle separation (i.e., dust removal) by means of a scrubbing liquid in which at least part of the particles in the gas stream are soluble.

摘要: Venturi Scrubbers are used to separate particulate from a large range of fluids. Many provide additional liquid and/or gas to drive the fluid and aid in the removal of particulate. The present invention provides a liquid ring pump through which the fluid to be treated is first passed and then exhausted, with additional work fluid to a Venturi scrubber such that the particulate can be separated from the exhaust fluid.

摘要: Improved methods and systems are provided for the on-board removal of sulfur dioxide generated by a marine vessel. The method includes spraying an alkaline fluid into the flue gas to produce a saturated flue gas stream containing the alkaline fluid; and flowing the saturated flue gas stream containing the alkaline fluid through a venturi to cause the particulates in the flue gas to impact the alkaline fluid and react at least a portion of the sulfur dioxide with the alkaline fluid.

摘要: A gas scrubber cone condition monitoring system has a sealed gas scrubber cone (9) moveably mounted in a gas pipe (1), a collar (5) fixedly mounted radially outward of the cone in the gas pipe and a pressure tap (12) into the sealed cone. The pressure tap is coupled to a condition monitor (17,18) via an input line (16). An output line (14) from the condition monitor is coupled to a gas pipe (15), downstream of the sealed cone. The condition monitor includes at least one of a pressure gauge and a gas flow meter.

摘要: The invention relates to a demister (1) configured for installation to a wet-type gas scrubber (2). The wet-type gas scrubber (2) comprises a wet-scrubbing phase (3) and a liquid separation phase (4). The liquid separation phase (4) includes a liquid collecting tank (5) and a cyclonic droplet separation tower (6) attached on the liquid collecting tank for receiving a gas stream therefrom. The demister (1) comprises a mist eliminator unit (A) for removal of liquid droplets in a gas stream. The invention also relates to a method of modifying an existing wet-type gas scrubber (2) by including the demister (1). The invention further relates to a wet-type gas scrubber (2) comprising the demister (1). The demister (1) is a separate integral unit adapted to be removably attachable between the liquid collecting tank (5) and the cyclonic droplet separation tower (6).
