    摘要: Systems, methods, and software can be used to analyze microseismic data from a fracture treatment. In some aspects, fracture planes are identified based on microseismic event data from a fracture treatment of a subterranean zone. Each fracture plane is associated with a subset of the microseismic event data. Confidence level groups are identified from the fracture planes. Each confidence level group includes fracture planes that have an accuracy confidence value within a respective range. A graphical representation of the fracture planes is generated. The graphical representation includes a distinct plot for each confidence level group.

In one embodiment, the methods comprise identifying parameters of a hydraulic fracturing operation within a subterranean formation; generating a completion design model based on the parameters of the hydraulic fracturing operation; storing the completion design model in a central data repository of models; generating the central data repository of models; wherein the data repository is based on previously generated models for one or more other subterranean formations having varying levels of uncertainty for expected output; reducing the level of uncertainty for the expected output based on completion parameters, wherein the completion parameters are used to update the central data repository of models; accessing the central data repository of models to predict results expected for a data set based at least in part on the central data repository of models, wherein the results comprise a prediction as to a level of output for the dataset, further wherein the prediction comparison results in an identification of the optimized completion design for the dataset

    摘要: Systems, methods, and software can be used to simulate a fracture treatment. In some aspects, physically separate rock blocks of a subterranean zone are modeled by separate block models. The block model for each physically separate rock block represents intra-block mechanics of the rock block, for example, as a group of discrete block elements. Interactions between adjacent pairs of the rock blocks are modeled by separate joint models. The joint model for each adjacent pair of rock blocks represents inter-block mechanics between the adjacent rock blocks, for example, as pre-defined joints. The block models and joint models are used to simulate an injection treatment of the subterranean zone.

    摘要: Systems, methods, and software can be used to identify properties of fractures in a subterranean zone. In some aspects, a basic plane orientation is determined for each of a plurality of basic planes. The basic planes are defined by coplanar subsets of microseismic event data from a fracture treatment of a subterranean zone. The quantity of the basic plane orientations in each of a plurality of ranges is calculated. In some implementations, a histogram is displayed to indicate the quantity of basic plane orientations in each of the orientation ranges. A dominant fracture orientation is identified for the subterranean zone based on one or more of the identified quantities.
