摘要: Provided are systems and methods for managing a processing load of a processing module and thermal energy produced by the processing load. In one example, a method includes identifying a hot water profile that contains usage information of hot water from a hot water tank that serves as a heat sink for the thermal energy. A determination may be made as to whether it is economically desirable to increase or decrease the processing load based on factors such as an economic value generated by the processing load, a cost of energy needed to support the processing load, and an economic value of the thermal energy transferred to the hot water tank based on the hot water profile. The processing load may be dynamically modulated by a local or remote controller in response to the economic desirability of increasing or decreasing the processing load as well as other possible parameters.

摘要: Provided are a system and method for actively recovering thermal energy, hydrocarbons, and other energy resources from a formation. In one example, multiple fluid conduits are inserted into a borehole. Combustion fluid is injected into the formation via one of the conduits. The combustion fluid is used to ignite and maintain a combustion zone by burning fuel in the formation. To extract thermal energy, cool fluid is circulated through the borehole via another conduit and heated by the thermal energy in the combustion zone. Thermal energy may be recovered from the heated fluid or other processing may be performed for various types of energy recovery. A fluid flow and composition of the combustion fluid and a fluid flow rate of the cool fluid may be individually controlled for purposes such as regulating heat transfer, balancing thermal energy recovery with enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and regulating temperature and pressure for safety.

摘要: A fluid distribution system that uses a hovering distribution device and methods for using such a system are provided. In one example, the system may include a reel that provides a hose for the hovering distribution device. The hovering distribution device receives pressurized fluid from the hose, and includes at least one nozzle configured to distribute the pressurized fluid and provide lift for the hovering distribution device using the pressurized fluid. A control system may be configured to execute a fluid distribution plan by controlling at least one of a position and an orientation of the hovering distribution device in a three dimensional space using a direction of the nozzle.

摘要: Provided are systems and methods for managing a level of heat provided by a processing module and a heating mechanism. In one example, a method includes determining, by a system such as a management control system, that a demand for water from a hot water reservoir is increasing. The hot water reservoir may serve as a heat sink for a processing module and may include a heating mechanism adapted to provide heat to the hot water reservoir separately from the processing module. A determination may be made as to whether the processing module is able to produce enough heat to meet the demand. If the processing module is not able to produce enough heat to meet the demand, the heat output of the heating mechanism may be increased to provide additional heat to the water in the hot water reservoir.
