摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device having a high contrast ratio and no coloring during black display, over a wide viewing angle range. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes a reverse wavelength dispersion-type biaxial retardation film having R0(B)/R0(G) and Rth(B)/Rth(G) not greater than 0.965 and R0(R)/R0(G) and Rth(R)/Rth(G) not smaller than 1.015; and a vertical alignment liquid crystal cell that has a blue, a green, and a red color filter layer and that satisfies Rth_LC(B)/Rth_LC(G)≦1.000 and Rth_LC(R)/Rth_LC(G)≧1.000. R0(B), R0(G) and R0(R) denote the in-plane retardations of the retardation film at wavelengths 450 nm, 550 nm and 650 nm. Rth(B), Rth(G) and Rth(R), and Rth_LC(B), Rth_LC(G) and Rth_LC(R) respectively denote the thickness-direction retardations of the retardation film and the liquid crystal cell at wavelengths 450 nm, 550 nm and 650 nm.

摘要: In a glass run for an automobile having an extruded portion and a corner molded portion so as to be mounted in a corner portion of a door frame, the glass run includes an exterior side wall, an interior side wall, and a bottom wall to thereby be formed into substantially a U-shaped cross section, and a corner bulge portion is provided on an interior side of an interior side wall of a corner molded portion of the glass run, the corner bulge portion having an insert of a material which is harder than the glass run embedded therein so as to enhance the rigidity thereof, for contact with a hollow seal portion of an opening weather strip which is mounted on a corner portion on a peripheral portion of a vehicle body opening when a vehicle door is closed.

摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display that can have both sufficient front contrast ratio and front white brightness. The present invention is a liquid crystal display including: a front polarizing plate; a liquid crystal cell; a back polarizing plate; and an optical element providing a polarizing effect, the components being arranged in the stated order, wherein the back polarizing plate has a higher transmittance than the front polarizing plate, the back polarizing plate has a lower contrast than the front polarizing plate, and the optical element providing a polarizing effect has a principal transmittance k1 of 80 to 86%, and a principal transmittance k2 of 2 to 8%.

摘要: A display device of at least one embodiment of the present invention includes a display panel; an optical plate placed on a viewer side of the display panel with the intervention of an air layer; and an antireflection layer placed on a viewer side of the optical plate, the antireflection layer having a motheye structure over its surface. The optical plate includes a plastic layer configured to transmit visible light, a quarter-wave layer placed on a viewer side of the plastic layer, and a polarizing layer placed on a viewer side of the quarter-wave layer, the polarizing layer being configured to transmit a linear polarization. The display device is more suitable to mobile applications than the conventional devices.
