The selection unit is configured to select a part of the row addresses of a plurality of spare pivot fault cells and a part of the column addresses of the spare pivot fault cells in response to a control code. The analysis unit is configured to generate an analysis signal indicating whether row addresses of a plurality of non-spare pivot fault cells are included in selected row addresses and column addresses of the non-spare pivot fault cells are included in selected column addresses.

Each of the parent memories stores a row address and a column address of one defective cell. Each of the child memories stores a column address of a defective cell, having a row address identical to a row address stored in the corresponding parent memory, or a row address of a defective cell, having a column address identical to a column address stored in the corresponding parent memory. Herein, each of the parent memories stores information about information about whether a row repair must be performed to repair a defective cell stored in the parent memory and information about whether a column repair must be performed to repair a defective cell stored in the parent memory.

The transfer unit includes a transfer unit body to accommodate a printing medium conveyor, which makes a printing medium receive an image while moving the printing medium, a body handle used to mount the transfer unit body in an image forming apparatus and to separate the transfer unit body from the image forming apparatus, and a locking and releasing unit to lock the transfer unit body to the image forming apparatus and to release a locking connection therebetween. The locking and releasing unit is disposed to carry out a releasing operation by grasping the body handle.

摘要： An image forming apparatus and a printing medium feeding unit thereof are disclosed. The image forming apparatus includes a main body, a cassette removably mounted in the main body to load a printing medium therein, and a sensing unit provided in the main body to sense whether the cassette is mounted in the main body and whether the printing medium is in the cassette. The sensing unit includes a first actuator mounted in the main body to sense whether the printing medium is in the cassette, a second actuator mounted in the main body to sense whether the cassette is mounted in the main body, and a sensor having a sensing part to sense operation of the first actuator and the second actuator. Accordingly, the image forming apparatus can sense whether the cassette is properly mounted in the main body and whether the printing medium is in the cassette, with a simple constitution while minimizing the number of sensors.

摘要： A color image forming device has an image forming cartridge including a cartridge frame that receives a plurality of image forming units. A movable fixing part supports at least one of the shafts of a plurality of photosensitive bodies disposed in the image forming units so that the shaft is rotatably fixed. The shafts of the other photosensitive bodies are movable and rotatable when the plurality of image forming units are received in the cartridge frame. A mounting frame receives the image forming cartridge, and has a shaft receiving part formed at a position corresponding to the ends of the shafts of the photosensitive bodies. The color image forming device accurately fixes the position of the shafts of the photosensitive bodies when the image forming cartridge is assembled in the mounting frame, thereby producing a high quality image reliably.

摘要： A unit is provided to screen a photosensitive medium and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus having the same. The unit for screening a photosensitive medium includes a shutter elastically biased in a direction in which the photosensitive medium is screened. A first link, which is capable of making a straight reciprocating motion in a first direction and has a pusher pressing and pushing the shutter to expose the photosensitive medium. A second link, which is connected to the first link and is capable of making a straight reciprocating motion in a second direction not parallel to the first direction. When a door of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is closed, the second link moves so that the first link moves in a direction in which the photosensitive medium is exposed.
