摘要: A data management service identifies sensitive data stored on enterprise databases according to record classification rules that classify a data record as having a sensitive data type if the data record includes fields matching at least one of the record classification rules. Methods and systems rely on a set of impact factors each having a set of set of value bands representing a range for the impact factor and a corresponding value (between 0 and 1). The factors, ranges, and values all are customizable for an organization. Impact scoring calculations take into account each of the impact factors, and each is weighted to represent a specific risk perception or assessment type. A similar impact scoring is applied to data quality using volume of data as a key attribute of the quality.

摘要: A data profiling module receives user selection of spreadsheets, and the data from the selected spreadsheets is profiled. At least one matching column is identified among the spreadsheets selected. The data profiling module calculates a match metric for the at least one matching column, and unifies the spreadsheets into a single composite spreadsheet using the at least one identified matching column. A preview view of a composite spreadsheet is generated, visually indicating the at least one matching column, any non-matching columns between the spreadsheets, and the match metric for the matching columns. An action history module identifies spreadsheets for use in the procedure, and stores any action applied to the spreadsheets as a procedure template that can be applied to a plurality of other spreadsheets.

摘要: A test data extraction and persistence technique that relies on a data domain based storage infrastructure is disclosed. In operation, a test data server receives a test data query that specifies selection parameters for selecting test data and any transformation operations to be performed on the test data. The test data server identifies domains associated with the selection parameters and traverses the tables in the database based on the identified domains to extract test data that satisfies the selection parameters. The test data server optionally performs transformation operations, such as masking operations, specified by the test data query on the extracted data. The identified domains are stored such that test data that satisfies the test data query may be extracted from the database repetitively without reevaluating the test data query each time.

摘要: A computer system and computer implemented method provide a stadium view visualization of large sets of data elements, such as network configurations. Each element has a type and is represented in the visualization by an object. The stadium view includes a plurality of frames, with each frame containing objects representing elements of a corresponding type. On receiving selection of an object, relationship data for the corresponding element is retrieved, and a visual attribute of objects that represent elements related to the corresponding element is modified. The modification of the visual attribute visually distinguishes those objects representing elements related to the corresponding element from objects representing elements that are not related to the corresponding element.

摘要: A system and a method are disclosed for processing hierarchical data structures, for example, XML (extensible markup language) documents. A tree view shows a visual representation of the input schema and the output schema and visual representations of associations between nodes from the input schema and output schema. A grid view shows mapping statements configured to map the input hierarchical data structure conforming to the input schema to an output hierarchical data structure conforming to the output schema. The grid view and the tree view are synchronized such that modifications performed using any one view result in corresponding modifications being presented in the other view. Modifications to mapping statements are validated to determine if path expressions used in the mapping statements are valid in the modified mapping statements.

摘要: A system and a method are disclosed for exporting a subset of a database from a source system to a target system. The database system identifies a first set of tables and determines the subset of data for these tables for transfer by executing one or more database queries. For example, the first set of tables is selected based on their sizes. The database system identifies a second set of tables for transferring by performing a file copy operation. For example, the remaining set of tables other than the first set of tables is transferred by performing a file copy operation. The database system moves the tables of the first set to a new table space for separating the files storing the first set of tables from the files storing the second set of tables.

摘要: A data profiling server extracts data from multiple data sources and stores the extracted data in a target data store. Validation functions are performed on the extracted to determine whether the data conforms to validation rules associated with the target data store and/or business logic definitions. For data that does not conform to the validation rules, the data profiling server identifies recommended transformations to be applied to the data to correct any errors that cause the data to not conform with the validation rules. A data profiling application presents to a user the data extracted from the multiple data sources in a grid structure. The grid structure also includes error indicators identifying the data that does not conform to the validation rules and specifies the recommended transformations identified by the data profiling server.

摘要: A method of searching all tables in a data model is disclosed, using a non-materializing virtual table interface that acts as a view into the underlying data model. The virtual table is virtually built on the fly at query execution time, and maps to all columns and rows within the data model. A query on the virtual table is translated into a set of data model queries for searching the data model, based on columns selected from the virtual table and other specified search parameters, as well as the virtual table definition. The search process works in conjunction with data domains, and uses compaction and tokenization of data.
