Abstract: An optical connector ferrule according to an embodiment includes an MT ferrule, and a spacer mounted on an optical end surface of the MT ferrule and having a guide hole into which a guide pin is inserted. The spacer has a contact surface that contacting the counterpart connector and a recess surrounded by the contact surface. The spacer includes a lens part exposed on a bottom surface of the recess and optically coupled to the optical end surface of the MT ferrule and a base part that retains the lens part by surrounding the lens part. The material of the lens part and the material of the base part are different from each other, and the difference between the linear expansion coefficient of the base part and the linear expansion coefficient of the MT ferrule is 0.5×10−5/° C. or less.

Abstract: An optical fiber rack includes a rack part on which a termination unit is located, and an optical fiber housing part for housing an extra length wiring part in an optical fiber bundle, the optical fiber housing part being positioned in a first direction. The termination unit includes a plurality of first optical fibers, a ay provided on one end side of the termination unit in a second direction, the tray being slidable in the second direction, and a plurality of adapters which are arranged in a line on the tray. The tray has a first support part for supporting the optical fiber bundle, the optical fiber rack further includes a second support part arranged in the second direction with respect to the first support part, and the second support part stretchably supports the optical fiber bundle extending from the first support part to the optical fiber housing part.

Abstract: An optical connection structure including first optical fibers, second optical fibers, a first optical connector, and a second optical connector is disclosed. The first optical connector is configured such that each of first distal end portions of the first optical fibers protrudes from a first front end surface to the outside when the first optical connector and the second optical connector are connected to each other. Each of the first distal end portions is inserted into a corresponding second fiber hole of the second optical connector. The second optical connector is configured such that each of second distal end portions of the second optical fibers is moved rearward inside second fiber holes due to each of the first distal end portions respectively inserted into the second fiber holes. The first optical fibers and the second optical fibers are optically coupled to each other inside the second fiber holes.

Abstract: An optical connector is disclosed. The optical connector includes a rear housing, an inner housing, an arm and an outer housing. The inner housing includes at least one retaining hole to house a ferrule. The rear housing moves linearly with respect to the inner housing and rotates with respect to the inner housing. The arm moves linearly together with the rear housing with respect to the inner housing. The outer housing is disposed on an outer periphery of the inner housing so as to cover a front portion of the inner housing. The outer housing rotates with respect to the inner housing by a rotation guiding mechanism cooperating with the arm. The outer housing includes a forward wall covering the distal end of the inner housing. An opening area of the forward wall can be aligned with the retaining hole or a fiber exposure face of the ferrule when the outer housing is rotated with respect to the inner housing from an initial position to a connected position.

The joint member is arranged in at least one of the housing and the rear body.The rear body has a guide wall to guide the optical fiber into the mechanical splice, and the guide wall is arranged between the mechanical splice and the optical fiber holder and has a tapered inner wall surface expanding from the mechanical splice toward the fiber holder.
