摘要: A pitch conversion device includes a main body portion configured to allow an optical fiber to be arranged thereon; and a turning portion configured to be attached to the main body portion. The turning portion includes a first holding portion configured to hold a plurality of the optical fibers at a first pitch, and a second holding portion configured to hold a plurality of the optical fibers at a second pitch. The turning portion rotates around an axis passing through an inside thereof in a state of being attached to the main body portion. A position at which the optical fibers are held is changeable to the first holding portion or the second holding portion depending on a rotation angle of the turning portion.

摘要: An optical connector includes first and second ferrules, first and second front housings each accommodating a corresponding ferrule of the first and second ferrules inside, an inner housing connected to rear ends of the first and second front housings, an outer housing including a first latch and accommodating the inner housing inside, and a tab disposed in a second direction intersecting a first direction with respect to the outer housing. The inner housing includes second latches disposed on first and second side portions respectively. The first and second side portions arranged in a third direction intersecting both the first direction and the second direction. The second latches include respective engaging portions that are engageable with the outer housing. Each of the engaging portions is pushed toward the inside of the inner housing to release a state of engagement between the inner housing and the outer housing.

摘要: An optical fiber holder includes: a holder body including an accommodating portion, the accommodating portion being configured to accommodate a plurality of optical fibers in a state in which the plurality of optical fibers are arranged in parallel; and a first lid portion configured to be opened and closed relative to the holder body and cover at least a part of the accommodating portion. The accommodating portion includes a pitch conversion portion having a plurality of ridge portions arranged in parallel and a plurality of flat bottom portions between the plurality of ridge portions. The plurality of ridge portions have a uniform height of 0.1 mm or less from the bottom portions, and parallel intervals in between enlarge or lessen from one side toward the other side in a longitudinal direction.

摘要: An optical fiber fusion splicer includes an image acquisition unit, a condition setting unit, and a fusion splicing unit. The image acquisition unit acquires an image including each of end surfaces of first and second optical fibers that are splicing targets in a state where the end surfaces of the first and second optical fibers are disposed to face each other. The condition setting unit sets splicing conditions in accordance with a state of each of the end surfaces by identifying the state of each of the end surfaces on the basis of the image. The fusion splicing unit fusion-splices the first and second optical fibers together by means of discharge between a pair of electrode bars in accordance with the splicing conditions set by the condition setting unit.

摘要: A device for fusion splicing, by an arc discharge, a pair or a plurality of pairs of optical fibers arranged so that end surfaces thereof face each other. An optical fiber arrangement portion positions the pair or the plurality of pairs of optical fibers between a pair of electrodes. A control portion controls a voltage applied to the pair of electrodes. The control portion generates a first discharge between the pair of electrodes, stops the first discharge between the pair of electrodes, and then generates an arc discharge between the pair of electrodes to fusion-splice the pair or the plurality of pairs of optical fibers to each other. A discharge time of the first discharge is 200 milliseconds or less. A time from stopping the first discharge to starting the arc discharge is 100 milliseconds or less.
