    摘要: Systems and methods relating to air traffic control and navigational aids for aircraft. An antenna system uses a multi-sector sensor that uses two vertical column antenna arrays per sector. Each pair of vertical column antenna arrays produces two beams that are off a boresight for each pair of antenna arrays. Wide angle monopulse processing is used to determine an azimuth or angle of arrival for an aircraft using at least one pair of the vertical column antenna arrays. Predetermined correction factors are applied to the azimuth for specific elevation values and, for elevation values without predetermined correction factors, interpolation between known predetermined correction values to arrive at the corrector factor to be applied.

    摘要: There is provided a system and method for automated video processing of an input video signal using tracking of a single moveable bilaterally-targeted game-object involved in a team-based sporting event. The method includes: receiving the input video signal; analyzing the input video signal for one or more contextual feature maps; coding the one or more contextual feature maps; using a trained machine learning model, determining estimated coordinates of the single moveable bilaterally-targeted game-object for each group of one or more frames of the input video signal, the machine learning model receiving the coded one or more contextual feature maps as features to the machine learning model, the machine learning model trained using training data including a plurality of previously recorded training video signals each with associated coded one or more contextual feature maps, the training data further including ground truth data including screen coordinates of the single moveable bilaterally-targeted game-object.

    摘要: A buoyancy compensation apparatus for underwater use by a SCUBA diver, includes a pressurized air source, a buoyancy vest including air chambers and a pressure regulating unit. The pressure regulating unit includes a chamber in communication with the vest air chambers and the pressurized air source. The pressure regulating unit also includes a normally closed air injection valve and a normally closed relief valve. The wall of the pressure regulating unit chamber includes a flexible portion that flexes inwardly when outside water pressure exceeds the pressure in the vest air chambers, which, in turn, opens the air injection valve. The relief valve opens when air pressure in the vest air chambers exceeds outside water pressure. The air injection and relief valves respond faster than the walls of the buoyancy vest air chambers so that the volume of the vest air chambers remain generally constant even as the diver changes depth.

The circumferential portion of the rotor is removed to create an opening to provide access to the groove such that the opening, immediately adjacent the groove, is narrower than the groove. A guide block may be extended into a receiving slot separating a first protruding surface from a second protruding surface of the rotor such that a weld area slot of the guide block extends over at least a portion of the opening. The opening may be welded adjacent the guide block to close at least a portion of the opening.

In one embodiment, a method of determining a maximum fall angle of a vehicle includes sensing tilt angles of two sensing axes of the vehicle relative to a horizontal reference plane and calculating the maximum fall angle of the vehicle based on the tilt angles. The apparatus and method may also include comparing the maximum fall angle to predetermined values and generating output signals when the maximum fall angle exceeds the predetermined values. In another embodiment, a method of determining when a vehicle is sliding downhill includes sensing the accelerations of three sensing axes.

    摘要: A method of assembling a gas turbine engine includes coupling a turbine shroud assembly within the gas turbine engine. The turbine shroud assembly includes a shroud segment having a leading edge defining a forward face and a radial inner surface. A turbine nozzle is coupled to the turbine shroud assembly such that a gap is defined between an aft face of an outer band of the turbine nozzle and the forward face. A plurality of recuperated cooling openings are defined through the leading edge at an oblique inlet angle with respect to a centerline of the gap and between the forward face and the radial inner surface to direct cooling fluid through the leading edge to facilitate preferential cooling of the leading edge.

The method includes providing a turbine shroud assembly including a shroud segment having an inner surface and a leading edge that is substantially perpendicular to the inner surface, and coupling a turbine nozzle to the turbine shroud segment such that a gap is defined between an aft edge of an outer band of the turbine nozzle and the leading edge.
