    摘要: An apparatus for scraping the surface of a sink roll in a molten metal coating process comprises a support member having a pair of linearly movable arms supported thereon. The support member depends from a bridge structure spanning a continuous metal coating line, and a pair or arms, the arms being disposed on opposite sides of said support member. Each arm has a scraper assembly portion attached thereto. Each scraper assembly portion has two blades affixed thereto, a forward scraper blade and a rear scraper blade, with a connecting portion connecting the two blades. The connecting portion also has a first pivot point for attaching the connecting portion to the arm associated with the scraper assembly portion, the first pivot point being disposed between said forward and rear scraper blades for following the radial contours of the roll surface. A second pivot point permits the blades to follow the crown of the roll. Pneumatic cylinders advance the arms such that at least one scraper blade presses against the roll surface under pressure. There is also control means for controlling the pressure of the scraping force of said blades applied to the roll surface. A traversing means provides for communicating lateral movement of said blades laterally along the axis of the roll while scraping against the roll.

    摘要: Systems and methods for preparing electronic searches are disclosed. In situations involving large number of items for many models of products, searches can be burdensome to the database. Moreover, variations in user skills can make many search requests inefficient and even meaningless. In one embodiment, search requests from users are prepared at a web server so as to form a more focused and meaningful search query for the database. Because such computing resource investments can be made at one or more servers, burden of heavy search loads can be distributed to the servers from the database. Various techniques for forming search queries can include translating abbreviations, nomenclatures, and misspellings. Moreover, use of standardized words allows for more efficient searches. In one embodiment, large number of automobile parts can be searched efficiently by prioritized matching of vehicle model information and part information from a search request in forming the search query.

    摘要: A nonlinear Yb:YAB laser material is disclosed. The material is capable of generating fundamental o-polarized first wavelength laser light and frequency doubled e-polarized second wavelength laser light, the material being oriented for type 1 phase matching of the first wavelength laser light. The system comprises a pumping light source emitting a pumping beam of light, a laser cavity having an input coupler operatively disposed with respect to the light source so as to couple the pumping beam of light into the cavity, and a nonlinear Yb:YAB laser material capable of lasing in response to a pumping beam of light thereby generating fundamental o-polarized first wavelength laser light and frequency doubled e-polarized second wavelength laser light, the material being oriented for type 1 phase matching of the first wavelength laser light, the first wavelength laser light being in the range of 1020-1100 nm and the second wavelength laser light being in the range of 510-550 nm. The input coupler comprises a reflector to at least partially reflect the first wavelength laser light and the second wavelength laser light into the cavity, and the laser cavity further includes an output coupler for coupling and outputting at least the second wavelength laser light from the cavity as an output laser beam. Also disclosed are methods of providing an output laser beam and methods of using the beam.
