Abstract:
A wipe having at least two sides for applying a cleansing material and a drying material to a skin surface. The cleansing material may be applied to a first side of the wipe, and the drying material to a second side of the wipe. The first side of the wipe is used to clean a skin surface by rubbing the wipe across the skin surface. The first side of the wipe removes dirt, grease and other materials from the skin surface. The second side of the wipe removes any dirt, grease or other materials not removed by the first side of the wipe and the cleansing material. The second side of the wipe also leaves a substance having a powdery feel on the skin surface.
Abstract:
Periodontic compositions in gel or foam form for treating gum diseases or used in the extraction of teeth, which are alcohol free. The composition is a mixture of a tertiary amine oxide and an antimicrobial betaine compound. The composition is useful for treating gum disease and after the extraction of teeth.
Abstract:
A powder composition which reacts in water to form in situ peroxycarboxylic acids at an anti-microbially effective concentration. Importantly, its utility is both for topical anti-microbial application and for effective low temperature disinfection/sterilization of instruments. It comprises the combination of a perborate, one or more novel acyl and/or aroyl donors, a buffering system which allows the pH to arise to about 9 for rapid formation of the peroxycarboxylic acids and then drop to about 7.5 for sustained stability and microbial kill. It preferably includes a surfactant facilitating antimicrobial efficacy, as well as other minors.
Abstract:
A non-foaming periodontic composition in a gel form or mouth wash for treating gum diseases or used in bleaching teeth which are alcohol free. The composition is a mixture of an isoalkyl amine oxide and an antimicrobial betaine compound. The composition is useful for treating gum disease and whitening teeth.
Abstract:
There is provided an aqueous coating composition which contains about 2 to 60% by weight of non-carbonized desulphurized rubber crumb having a mesh size of about 2 to 100. The composition contains about 20 to 60% of a binder and other optional ingredients. The coating composition is particularly useful as a roof mastic.
Abstract:
A composition is provided to control soil erosion and for conditioning soil to prevent fugitive dust and stabilizing roadway surfaces. the composition contains monomeric resins, enzymes, surfactants and water. The composition can be sprayed onto the soil or admixed and distributed with the soil and followed by compacting with a roller or pneumatic compactor.
Abstract:
A radiation shield for a hand-held cellular telephone is made up of a metal strip placed between the antenna rod of the telephone and the speaker. The strip has a flat body portion and an upper portion that is curved away from the rod. Overall length of the strip is slightly longer than the antenna rod, and its width is 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Radiation fields reaching the head of a user whose ear is placed near the speaker are substantially reduced by the shield.
Abstract:
A method for preparing fertilizer from animal, human and medical waste utilizing vacuumized microwave pathogen decontamination. The invention contemplates simultaneously heating the waste and reducing the pressure the reaction chamber in which the waste is located. As a result of the invention, the waste is decontaminated at a low temperature and the nutrients are preserved. The decontaminated waste is then mixed with a planting medium such as soil. The method may also include adding a diluting substance, chosen from the group consisting of humate, sawdust and sand, to dilute the nitrogen content of the disinfected waste.
