摘要: The present application relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing generating odors. In aspects, the disclosed methods may include generating, by a chemistry dispersion element, a signal configured to act upon a surface of a chemistry reservoir to disperse an odorous substance retained within the chemistry reservoir. The chemistry reservoir and the chemistry dispersion element may be disposed within a housing. The method also includes generating, by an air pump, a volume of air, and transporting, by an airflow pathway, the volume of air from the air pump to an air outlet. The volume of air passes through at least a portion of the housing as it flows through the airflow pathway from the air pump to the air outlet, and transports at least a portion of the odorous substance dispersed by the chemistry reservoir within the housing to the air outlet.

摘要: A microwave device for inactivation of viruses is disclosed. The microwave device comprising a housing and a field generator. The housing has a cavity configured to receive an object contaminated with viruses within the cavity and the field generator is configured to irradiate the cavity with microwave energy at a band of frequencies and a power level configured to inactivate the virus. The cavity is located within a near-field of a radiation pattern produced by the field generator at the band of frequencies and the microwave energy causes a dipole vibration on the virus that causes the virus to fracture.

摘要: A method and apparatus for pasteurizing and drying cannabis plant materials using a microwave-vacuum chamber. The pasteurizing and drying are carried out with no use of ionizing radiation and with rapid drying. Pasteurization is done at a temperature and for a time period that are sufficient to reduce microorganisms to an acceptably low level, while not significantly reducing the psychoactive compounds in the material. In the process, the pressure inside a vacuum chamber is reduced to a first pressure less than atmospheric. The material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the first pressure at a pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pressure is then reduced to a second pressure lower than the first pressure and the material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the second pressure for a time period at a dehydrating temperature lower than the pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pasteurizing and dehydrating steps can be done in the reverse order.

摘要: A system for sterilizing viruses includes beam generation circuitry for generating a radiating wave having radiating energy therein at a predetermined frequency therein. A controller controls the radiating wave generation at the predetermined frequency. The predetermined frequency equals a resonance frequency of a particular virus. The predetermined frequency induces a mechanical resonance vibration at the resonance frequency of the particular virus within the particular virus for destroying a capsid of the particular virus. Radiating circuitry projects the radiating wave on a predetermined location to destroy the particular virus at the predetermined location.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for treating soil with electromagnetic radiation, comprising:—a magnetron antenna (9) for generating microwave radiation with a relatively high frequency; a wave guide (16) connected to the output of the magnetron antenna (9); downward directed tubular members (18, 19) connected to the wave guide (16);—a manifold (17) arranged between the two tubular members (18, 19) and the wave guide (16);—a tuner unit (26) arranged on the wave guide (16); and—cooling means (22, 22′, 22″) for cooling the electromagnetic radiation reflected by the soil. The invention also relates to a cable (24) provided with a single high-voltage cable and one or more low-voltage cables and/or a number of optical cables which are arranged in a shared cable. The invention finally relates to a method for disinfecting soil, wherein a magnetron (9) placed on a vehicle is moved over the soil, wherein the radiation reflected by the soil is minimized by tuning the wave guide (16) connected to the magnetron (9), and wherein the minimized reflected radiation is absorbed by a water load which is connected to one or two water tanks (22′, 22″) which are placed on the vehicle and which hold the temperature of the water within predetermined limits.

Cleaning and disinfection of plastic trays used in security check screening can also be accomplished using microwave radiation in combination with an aqueous solution, thereby achieving at least 99.9% killing of pathogenic microorganisms present on the plastic tray.

One or more of the microwave launchers can be offset slightly, such that the microwave energy introduced into the heating chamber is discharged at a launch tilt angle of at least 2°. Additionally, each launcher can include a microwave-transparent window disposed between the microwave chamber and the one or more launch openings and at least 50 percent of the chamber-side surface of the window can be oriented at an angle of at least 2° from the horizontal.
