    摘要: A thermoplastic molding composition that releases upon burning a limited amount of smoke is disclosed. The composition includes 95 to 60 percent aromatic (co)polycarbonate, 5 to 40 percent bromine-substituted oligocarbonate, and 0.04 to 0.2 percent alkali or alkaline-earth salt of perfluoroalkane sulfonic acid, the percents all occurrences being relative to the weight of the composition.

    摘要: A method of making a polyether-polydialkylsiloxane block copolymer is provided. The method comprises providing a mixture comprising at least one alkylene oxide and at least one silanol-terminated polydialkylsiloxane; and polymerizing the mixture in the presence of a double metal cyanide complex catalyst, and optionally in the presence of an aprotic solvent and/or an antioxidant. A polyether-polydialkylsiloxane block copolymer having a molecular weight of 150-50,000 g/mole and having a polydispersity index of 1.0 to 1.5 made by the above method is also provided.

The composition contains 10 to 94.5 pbw aromatic (co)polycarbonate, 4 to 40 pbw rubber graft (co)polymer containing EP(D)M or (co)polyacrylate as graft base and a grafted phase compatible with said aromatic (co)polycarbonate, and 0.05 to 10 pbw siloxane (co)polymer. The siloxane (co)polymer contains siloxane structural units that contain epoxy functionalities (SG) and optionally siloxane units that contain no epoxy functionalities (SNG) at a ratio of (SG) units to the total (SG)+(SNG) units greater than 0.05.

    摘要: A thermoplastic composition suitable for making articles having low gloss and good impact properties is disclosed. The composition contains (A) 20 to 94.5 percent relative to the weight of the composition (pbw) of an aromatic (co)poly(ester)carbonate, (B) 5 to 40 pbw of a graft (co)polymer that includes an EPDM graft base and a grafted phase that is compatible with the aromatic (co)poly(ester)carbonate, and (C) 0.5 to 20 pbw of a linear copolymer containing at least one unit derived from a glycidyl ester monomer, and (D) 0 to 40 pbw of a vinyl copolymer. The gloss of the composition is lower than that of a corresponding composition that contains none of component (C).
