A wrapping device having at least a circular track structure which forms a closed track, and a film feeding device which is arranged to circulate along the track and to feed a film around a piece to be wrapped, wherein the film feeding device is provided with a mechanism for fixing a film roll in the film feeding device in a rotating manner, feeding mechanism, through which the film is arranged to be fed at a predetermined film tension, and a drive mechanism which is arranged, if necessary, to rotate the film roll in a direction in which the film is rewound onto the film roll and which is arranged to receive its driving force by mechanical contact between the drive mechanism and the circular track structure. The film feeding device also has a mechanism which is arranged to disconnect and reconnect the contact, wherein the mechanism is controlled either on the basis of the film tension or on the basis of the location of the film feeding device on the track, or on the basis of them both.

A wrapping device provides at least a circular track structure which forms a closed track, and a film feeding device which is arranged to circulate along the track and to feed a film around a piece to be wrapped. The film feeding device includes a frame structure with a rotatable film roll and a feeding mechanism through which the film is arranged to be fed at a desired film tension. The frame structure can be disconnected from and reconnected to the film feeding device for the change of the film roll, and for the change of the film roll, the wrapping device also includes an automatic change system for the change of the frame structure. The frame structure is an integrated unit which can be independently disconnected from and reconnected to the film feeding device. The carriage device of the wrapping device is intended to carry along the film feeding device, and it includes several carriages placed one after the other and coupled to each other, wherein at least one the frame structure is placed or can be placed in one or more carriages.

The invention relates to a method and device for rotating rotational bodies (1), such as rolls, along their longitudinal axis (X) by means of motion of a trough-like surface (2) guiding and supporting said body (1). In the invention, the axis of rotation of the body (1) moving on said surface is guided by means of the profile (2a, 7a, 7b) of the surface (2) to a new position to eliminate the swinging of the body (1). In an embodiment, said profile (2a, 7a, 7b) comprises a straight section (2a) and a section (7a, 7b) which is arranged at least on the other side of the same, and which comprises a surface that rises outwards. The diagonal surface can be arranged as a separately attachable part. By means of the invention, the swinging of the conical roll (1) is prevented during rotation.

A label (E, E1) to be adhered to the piece (K) is supplied under one or several wrapping film layers (3a) forming around the piece (K) during the wrapping. A device applying the method. A manipulating device for manipulating one or several labels (E, E1) in connection with wrapping of a piece (K). The manipulating device (7) comprises at least one box-like receiving part (7a), an opening (7b) arranged at the end of the receiving part (7a) to receive the label (E), at least one box-like delivery part (7d) arranged as an extension to the receiving part (7a), an opening arranged at the end of the delivery part (7d) to feed the label (E, E1) from the delivery part (7d), at least one closing device (7h) for holding the label (E, E1) in the manipulating device (7), an opening (7c, 7e) between the delivery part (7a) and the delivery part (7d) to transfer the label (E, E1) from the receiving part (7a) to the delivery part (7d), and a controller (7j) arranged as an extension to the delivery part (7d) to guide the label (E, E1).
