    摘要: A folding impeller formed around a central hub. The folding impeller has a plurality of impeller blades each formed with a leading portion that is extended from a trailing portion, with the leading and trailing portions of the blade and including an obtuse angle therebetween. The trailing portion of each blade is mounted for tangential rotation about the hub between a folded state and a spread state, wherein in the folded state an axis of the hub lies within the angle included between the leading and trailing portions of each of the impeller blades, and wherein in the spread state each blades is tangentially extended from the hub with the included angle being arranged transverse of the axis of the hub, and wherein the trailing portion is arranged substantially parallel with the axis, and the leading portion forms an angle of attack therewith.

    摘要: A portable wedge clamp having both a drive wedge member and a mating base wedge member each formed with generally wedge shaped bodies that are oppositely inclined along a mutually slidable wedge interface. The body of the base wedge member is formed with an external load application surface opposite from the mutual wedge interface, and the body of the drive wedge member is formed with a load reaction surface opposite from the mutual wedge interface. The external load application surface of the base wedge member and the external load reaction surface of the drive wedge member are spaced apart on opposite sides of the mutual wedge interface. Accordingly, the external load application and load reaction surfaces of the respective base wedge and drive wedge member bodies are arranged in a substantially parallel opposing relationship when the base and drive wedge members are slidably juxtaposed along the inclined wedge interface therebetween.

    摘要: An impeller blade formed of a central base portion having a center axis. At least a pair of impeller blades is extended outwardly from the central base portion, with each impeller blade further including an extension. A leading edge is formed on each of the impeller blades, with each leading edge being defined by an outer periphery of the central base portion, and each leading edge having at least a portion that forms a continuous curve with a radius decreasing outwardly toward a radial tip of the corresponding impeller blade, wherein the continuous decreasing radius curve of each leading edge is formed by a portion of an ellipse centered on the center axis, a short axis of the ellipse being equal to a long axis thereof divided by approximately three and one-half. Each blade extension is projected from the corresponding impeller blade opposite of the leading edge.
