摘要： This patent relates to a mobile terminal and a method of controlling an operation of the same. The method of controlling an operation of a mobile terminal includes displaying a file list and scroll arrows for scrolling the file list on a touch screen. When the scroll arrow is touched and entered, the file list is scrolled at a scroll speed previously set in response to a time when the scroll arrow is touched and entered. A vibration signal to identify at least one of a scroll speed and a current scrolling position of the file list is provided. Accordingly, when a file list is scrolled, a scroll speed or a current scrolling position can be easily identified by a tactile sense.

摘要： A mobile terminal including a touch screen and a method of controlling an operation thereof are provided. The method of controlling an operation of a mobile terminal includes: displaying a thumbnail image corresponding to an image file on a touch screen to be randomly overlapped; selecting any one of thumbnail images by touch input; and displaying the selected thumbnail image together with an option icon for selecting a quick menu to be distinguished from other thumbnail images. Therefore, a list of stored image files can display thumbnail images in a new arrangement manner and it possible to quickly enter a related menu from the thumbnail image.

摘要： A terminal and method for selecting an item displayed on a touch screen are disclosed. The method for selecting an item displayed on the screen includes simultaneously touching the screen at two or more locations to define a selection area and identifying the items within the selection area. The section area may be a rectangle, a horizontal or vertical band of the display, a circle, or sequentially arranged items of a list. Alternatively, a single touch may define a point in the display area and the bounds of the display area are defined by the time the touch is maintained. Recently, with the increasing development of multiple functions on a single terminal, the method can be conveniently applied to the latest terminal where associated items are simultaneously displayed on a single display screen of the terminal.
