摘要： The invention relates to a latching mechanism that is attachable to the outer surface of a cupboard drawer or door to prevent opening of the drawer or door by a child. The child safety latch 1 thus locks and prevents opening of a first drawer or door element 2 with respect to a second cabinet frame element 3. The latch fitting mechanism 1 includes a first engaging part 4 and a second engaging part 5. The first and second engaging parts each comprise enlarged engaging surfaces 6, 7 respectively, which provide mating surfaces to securely fit the first and second engaging parts respectively to the surfaces of the first door or drawer element 2 and the second carcass element 3. Holes are provided in the engaging surfaces 6, 7 for attachment to the inside surface of a side of the drawer or cupboard with mechanical fasteners, such as screws. The enlarged surfaces 6, 7 also serve as substrates for other securing means such as adhesive or Velcro (hook and loop) type fixing means. The first engaging part 4 includes a prong assembly 8 arranged in a plane at 90 degrees to the enlarged attaching surface 6. The prong assembly 8 includes a pair of resilient prongs 10 each comprising a hooked terminal end 12. The second engaging part 5 includes a receiving means 9 arranged in the same plane as the enlarged attaching surface 7 and includes a pair of receiving prongs 11 each with a receiving hook 13 corresponding to the terminal ends 12 such that when the first and second engaging parts are brought together they are become automatically engaged, by the terminal end hooks 12 becoming latched to the receiving hooks 13.

摘要： The invention relates to a latching mechanism that is attachable to the outer surface of a cupboard drawer or door to prevent opening of the drawer or door by a child. The child safety latch 1 thus locks and prevents opening of a first drawer or door element 2 with respect to a second cabinet frame element 3. The latch fitting mechanism 1 includes a first engaging part 4 and a second engaging part 5. The first and second engaging parts each comprise enlarged engaging surfaces 6, 7 respectively, which provide mating surfaces to securely fit the first and second engaging parts respectively to the surfaces of the first door or drawer element 2 and the second carcass element 3. Holes are provided in the engaging surfaces 6, 7 for attachment to the inside surface of a side of the drawer or cupboard with mechanical fasteners, such as screws. 摘要： The invention relates to a child safety locking mechanism 1 for a cupboard or drawer 2 comprising at least one movable door or drawer 3 and a fixed frame 2, and the locking mechanism 1 comprising: a latch assembly 5 and a catch part 4 each fitted on the movable door or drawer 3 and fixed frame, the latch assembly 5 including a latching arm 8 and a latching hook 9, and the catch part including a catch arm 6. The latching hook 9 is aligned to abut against the catch arm 6 in a locked position to prevent the movable door from being fully opened, wherein the latching arm is movable to an unlocked position in which the latching hook 9 is no longer aligned to abut against the catch arm 6 and the movable door or drawer 3 may be opened. Motor driven automatic release means are provided which are remotely actuatable to automatically move the latching arm 8 to the unlocked position when the automatic release means are actuated by a user. The latching arm 8 is moved downwards automatically by the remote actuation of the release arm 20 out of alignment with the catch arm 6. The release arm 20 is mounted on an axle which is rotated by a motor to just a sufficient extent to act on the latch arm 8 to move it out of alignment with the catch arm 6. The latch assembly 5 includes control means for the motor in the form of a circuit board, which also includes a Bluetooth or other radio wave receiver, located in a latch assembly casing 22.

The straps 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b may combine to form a single strap which passes through a single slot 14a, the single strap including a secured end 16a which retains the single strap and thus the straps 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b to the bracket 11, or the straps could remain separate and have a slot each.

摘要： The invention relates to a safety gate including a frame with a horizontal base member and usually two vertical upright post members affixed to each end of the base member at its lower end; a door mounted for hinged opening movement, hingedly attached to the vertical upright post member; the frame being held in position by frictional engagement against supporting walls of an opening, provided and adjusted by attachment means which are mounted on adjusting rods; the door includes an upper bar and a lower bar connected together with a number of pales spaced apart to form an effective barrier; the door also including a closing mechanism for releasibly retaining the door in the closed position. The attachment means includes a pressure gauge which measures the frictional pressure between the frame and supporting wall of the opening, and an electronic processing means which compares the pressure reading from the pressure gauge to a predetermined level and indication means which provide an indication when the measured pressure level is lower than the predetermined level. Power storage means are provided to provide autonomous power to the processor and the indication means. The indication means includes a wireless transmission means to transmit the indication of low pressure to a computer, tablet or smart phone.
