摘要： An improved base pan is disclosed for a large ground or roof mounted "packaged" air conditioning unit. The base pan comprises a non-corrosive polymeric material but includes a section which is coated with a non-flammable substance. An airflow section of the base pan is defined by a raised platform, which, in combination with a set of ramp members, directs precipitation and condensation from the sensitive airlow section. Moisture droplets which do fall on the sensitive airflow section are directed toward a channel which uniformly slopes toward a drain hole.

摘要： A containment system for a packaged air conditioning unit is disclosed comprising a base pan, a first unit wrapper, a second unit wrapper, a compressor compartment partition, a condenser compartment partition, and a top cover having an indoor section and an outdoor section. The unit wrappers and the compartment partitions are guided into position during installation by engaging a notch formed on the wrapper or partition with a positioning cleat formed on the base pan. Because the unit wrappers and the partitions firmly abut the base ban throughout their length, these components help to laterally stiffen the base pan.

摘要： The invention is a blower assembly for a packaged climate control unit such as a packaged air conditioning or heating unit. An orifice ring for receiving and guiding rotation of a blower wheel of the assembly is made detachable so that the wheel can be inserted into and retrieved from the top of the blower assembly housing. Further, the blower assembly may comprise an improved motor stand having vertically oriented pegs which are received by receptacles formed about the outer surface of the motor. When the assembly is installed in packaged unit having a detachable top section, both the blower wheel and the blower wheel motor can be retrieved from the packaged unit for servicing or replacement without removing the blower assembly housing from the packaged unit.

摘要： This invention provides improved gas-fired heater means for supplying heat to a space, such as a room, house, building or the like. The space heater means include highly efficient heat exchanger means for transferring heat generated by the combustion of a fuel gas-air mixture to an air stream circulated between the heat exchanger means and the space, in combination with pressurized combustor means for mixing fuel gas with pressurized combustion air and igniting that mixture to produce a highly intense heat source flame which is discharged into the heat exchanger means inlet through hollow interconnecting conduit means. The present invention provides novel means for directing a heat-insulating layer of pressurized fluid between the flame and interior surfaces of the interconnecting conduit means such that these conduit surfaces are protected by the fluid layer against adverse heat-fatiguing action by the intensely hot flame.
