摘要： An information handling system includes a capacitor, an antenna, a wireless wide area network card, an embedded display port interface, and a digital-to-analog converter. The capacitor has a variable capacitance that varies based on a voltage applied to the capacitor. The antenna is coupled to the capacitor, and has a variable resonance frequency that is based on the variable capacitance. The wireless wide area network card is in communication with the antenna, and is configured to set the variable resonance frequency to a specific frequency based on a control signal. The embedded display port interface is configured to transmit the control signal from the wireless wide area network card to a display control circuit via an auxiliary channel of the embedded display port interface. The digital-to-analog converter is in communication with the display control circuit, and is configured to provide the voltage to the capacitor in response to a signal from the display control circuit.

摘要： A surface mount connector that can be used for both single and double-sided PWB's. A telephone may have a printed wiring board with connector access from the bottom of the telephone and keypad activation from the top of the telephone. If a double-sided PWB is used, the connector is mounted to the bottom side of the PWB, while the keypad is mounted to the top of the PWB. The connector faces away from the PWB to provide access from below the telephone. If a single-sided PWB is used, the connector is mounted to the top side of the PWB, so that the keypad can also be mounted to the top side. The connector is placed, with connector access down, into an opening through the PWB. The connector extends down through the opening in the PWB with the leads of the connector remaining on the top side of the PWB. The leads of the connector are secured to pads on the top side of the PWB.

摘要： A telephone with a ringer silencer call screening feature includes a ringer for indicating the receipt of an incoming call. A ringer control unit deactivates the ringer while the telephone is in a continuous on-hook state and reactivates the ringer upon termination of the incoming call. A call control unit for transmitting and receiving call signaling messages is connected to the ringer control unit for communication with the ringer control unit. Multiple keypads provide an interface between a user of the telephone and both the call control unit and the ringer control unit. A display connected to the ringer control unit and the call control unit displays caller identification information and a call status detector communicates with the ringer control unit upon termination of the incoming call. One method for screening calls includes utilizing one of the keypads to cause the ringer control unit to locally deactivate the ringer. Another method includes utilizing one of the keypads to cause the call control unit to transmit a transfer-to-voicemail message to a central office.

The marine container is characterized as having a top, bottom and connecting sidewalls and further having at least one corner casting characterized as having openings in its top and at least one side thereof. The adaptor pole is made up of an elongated cylindrical member having a proximal end and a distal end, an abbreviated cylindrical member joined substantially perpendicularly to the elongated cylindrical member proximate the proximal end thereof, a stabilizer plate located proximate and parallel to the abbreviated cylindrical member and a barrier plate bridging the stabilizer plate and abbreviated cylindrical member. The adaptor pole is sized to enable the proximal end of the elongated cylindrical member and abbreviated cylindrical member to be removably secured within the corner casting while the stabilizer plate resides thereon to maintain the orientation of the elongated cylindrical member with respect to the ISO marine container.
