摘要: A tensioner mechanism adapted for placing tension in a drive belt of a mower deck, the tensioner including an elongate member operatively coupled with an idler arm, and slidably mounted with a support member operatively carried by the mower deck. A compression spring carried on the elongate member between the idler arm and the support member operatively presses the idler arm away from the support member and is completely compressed during normal mowing operations for generally blocking the idler arm from swinging toward the support member during operation. A threaded member within which said elongate member is slidably received is adjustably fixed with the support member by a pair of nuts that can be adjusted on the threaded member to alter the position of the threaded member with respect to the mower deck for adjusting the tension that the idler pulley places in the belt during normal mowing operations. The position of an indicator adjacent to the threaded member serves to visually indicate to the operator that the tensioning mechanism has been properly adjusted to place the appropriate amount of tension in the belt.

摘要: An electronic engine speed control system for a grass mowing machine powered by an internal combustion engine includes a microcontroller providing an output signal to an engine speed actuator for the engine, a pedal position sensor connected to a foot pedal and providing a voltage input signal to the microcontroller based on the position of the foot pedal, a PTO clutch switch providing a signal input to the microcontroller indicating if a PTO clutch is engaged, and a lever position sensor connected to a hand lever and having a range of positions including an Automatic mode position and a plurality of Manual mode positions. The hand lever position sensor provides a voltage input signal to the microcontroller in the Automatic mode position such that the microcontroller output to the engine speed actuator is related to the voltage inputs from the pedal position sensor and PTO clutch switch, and provides a voltage input signal to the microcontroller in a range of Manual mode positions such that the microcontroller output to the engine speed actuator is related to the voltage input from the lever position sensor.

摘要: A tensioning assembly is provided for a primary drive employed in supplying rotary power from a vehicle to at least one sheave associated with a blade on a mower deck which, upon being driven, creates a tight side and a backside in a belt on opposite sides of a sheave. A bracket is pivotably supported on the mower deck and carries rotatably thereon first and second idler pulleys on respective first and second portions of the bracket. The first pulley engages the tight side of the belt, and the second pulley engages the backside of the belt. A resilient member is operatively coupled to the bracket for biasing the first and second pulleys mounted thereon toward a tensioning position wherein each of the first and second pulleys effectively lengthen a path of the belt, thereby tensioning the belt.
