摘要: A welding system including a fine tuning knob and a coarse adjustment knob for setting a weld wire feed speed are provided. The welding system may include a welder having the coarse adjustment knob and a spool gun having the fine tuning knob. A user may adjust the knob on the welder to set a coarse adjustment wire feed speed and may adjust the knob on the spool gun to fine tune the wire feed speed setting.

摘要: Systems and methods for setting welding parameters are provided. For example, in certain embodiments, a method includes receiving an input relating to a change in a parameter of welding power of a welding system via a welding system interface. The method also includes displaying a graphical representation of an acceptable range of values for the parameter of the welding power on a display device of the welding system interface, wherein the acceptable range of values is based on other parameters of a welding process being performed by the welding system. The method further includes constraining subsequent manual inputs relating to changes in the parameter of the welding power to the acceptable range of values.

摘要: Systems and methods for optimally setting a coarse adjustment knob and a fine adjustment knob (i.e. a rheostat) on a user interface of a stick welding system via an intuitive display are provided. Certain embodiments of the present disclosure relate to achieving the correct amperage setting for a given electrode through icons that allow easy association between an electrode and the proper coarse and fine adjustment knob settings. In one embodiment, the user interface includes a color coded bar chart that may be used to identify the proper coarse and fine adjustment knob settings for a given electrode. In another embodiment, the user interface includes panels above the coarse adjustment knob that contain icons with arrows that indicate an appropriate range of rheostat settings for a given electrode. Additionally, methods that may be used to set the coarse and fine adjustment knobs on the disclosed exemplary interfaces are provided.
