摘要： A hand-held oscillating spindle sander is disclosed. The sander includes a pair of toothed pulleys associated with the output shaft. The first pulley is attached to the output shaft for rotation with the output shaft. The second pulley is rotatably disposed on the output shaft for relative rotation with respect to the output shaft. The second pulley includes opposed camming surfaces formed on the inside thereof. A cam follower is attached to and extends from the output shaft so that it is positioned between the opposed camming surfaces. A pair of belts are respectively entrained around the first and second pulleys from a jackshaft rotatably received in the housing. Upon rotation of the belts, both pulleys rotate, but at slightly different speeds. This slight difference in speeds causes the cam follower to move along the opposed camming surfaces to create an oscillation effect for the output shaft. A dust recovery system is associated with the base of the tool proximate to where the sanding tools engages the workpiece.

摘要： A motorized rotary tool having a drive motor mounted on a distal end of a tubular wand is provided. A drive shaft is operatively coupled to the drive motor and extends along the length of the tubular wand. A head is mounted by a pivotal joint to a proximal end of the tubular wand. The head includes a rotary pad operatively coupled to the flexible drive shaft such that the rotary pad can be driven rotably by the drive shaft. The pivotal joint has a first and a second flexible joint. The first joint is configured to pivot about a first axis which is different from a second axis about which the second joint pivots.

摘要： An in-line sander comprising a sander body which houses a motor coupled to an in-line oscillating mechanism. The in-line oscillating mechanism is adapted and configured to move a sanding pad in a linear oscillating motion. A corner or detail pad has a substantially flat lower surface and a substantially pointed front portion bounded laterally by two substantially-linear corner-sanding edges having an included angle of less than 90 degrees. A forward end of this substantially pointed front portion of the preferred corner or detail pad protrudes ahead of a front end of the sander body throughout the linear oscillating motion of the pad. The front portion of the preferred corner or detail pad has particular application for sanding into corners of a carcass.
