    摘要: An plumbing pipe locator and support is provided for fixing plumbing pipes in position relative to studs in a building. The pipe locator and support comprises an elongated supporting strap having upper and lower sides extending along opposing sides of a longitudinal axis. A first plurality of longitudinally aligned, larger pipe openings are interspersed with a second plurality of smaller, aligned fastener openings that extend into ends of the strap. The upper and lower sides undulate to provide a substantially uniform width between first holes and the adjacent sides and the second holes and the adjacent sides. This undulating surface can provide a strap using less material, with reduced manufacturing time, and a strap that can bend without forming creases or stress fractures.

    摘要: Methods and systems for configuring nodes in a redundant network configuration include identifying a master node from a plurality of nodes in the network by sending a configuration packet to each node. The configuration packet includes an identification number representing the node in the network from which the configuration packet originates, where each node in the network has a unique identification number. At each node in the network, the identification number in the configuration packet is compared to an identification number for that node. In one embodiment, the node whose identification number is greater than the identification number in the configuration packet is designated the master node. A virtual break is created in the network at the location of the master node to prevent a packet from returning to the node from which it originates.

    摘要: An insulating cover for a wire joint has a body which defines a lumen particularly adapted for receiving a crimp sleeve type wire joint. Longitudinal or coaxial ribs adjacent to a closed end of the lumen define an inside diameter which engages a relatively smaller joint, and the ribs are sufficiently flexible and the body stretchable so that the cover can alternatively receive a larger joint. A flexible skirt depends from the body and an elastic strap extends from the skirt with a ring retainer on the strap so that the strap can be extended through the crotch of the joint and secured to the body.
