An image forming apparatus having a page sorting function includes a scanning unit to scan a plurality of pages in order, a number recognizing unit to recognize a page number on each of the scanned pages, a control unit to determine whether a current scanned page whose page number is recognized is printable based on a predetermined page sorting order and pre-scanned page numbers, and a printing unit to print the scanned page. By sorting and printing simultaneously, a total amount of time required to perform a copying process can be substantially reduced, and user's convenience is improved.
Abstract:
A system for managing mobile routers connected to a PMIP6 (proxy mobile internet protocol version 6) domain is provided with a plurality of MAGs (mobility access gateways) to which the mobile routers are to be connected, an LMA (local mobility anchor), connected to the plurality of MAGs, for managing location information of the mobile routers and packet forwarding information of the mobile routers, and a profile server in which profile information of the mobile routers is registered. Further, the plurality of MAGs and the LMA set up forwarding information of a home prefix of a mobile router that is connected to the PMIP6 domain and a mobile network prefix managed by the connected mobile router, based on the profile information of the mobile routers registered in the profile server.
Abstract:
An automatic tunnel configuration method using a router advertisement message is provided, including: periodically receiving a router advertisement message containing a tunnel end-point address option from an access router of an internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) network when a mobile node moves from a home network to other IPv6 networks; automatically configuring a tunnel using an address allocated from the access router of the IPv6 network to which the mobile node connects, and the tunnel end-point address option included in the router advertisement message when the network to which the mobile node moves to connect is an internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) network; and communicating with a correspondent node via the configured tunnel using a mobile internet protocol (MIP6).
Abstract:
A method of providing session mobility and a user terminal are provided. The method includes, when a session is set through one interface, receiving a request for session transfer to a network corresponding to another interface, checking the available resource capacity of the network to which the session will be transferred, and determining whether or not to transfer the session based on the result of the check operation and establishing a session with the network. The method can improve the reliability of an Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) service continuity function.
Abstract:
There is provided a movement detection method of a mobile node in a DSMIP6 environment. The movement detection method includes performing neighbor unreachability detection in a network to which a mobile node moves, confirming network movement detection and simultaneously performing IPv4 address allocation when the neighbor unreachability detection fails, performing router discovery at the same time as the IPv4 address allocation, recognizing the movement detection into the IPv4 network when the IPv4 address allocation succeeds, and recognizing the movement detection into the IPv6 network when the router discovery and the IPv6 router discovery succeed. Therefore, the movement detection method can be useful to continuously perform operations as defined in a DSMIP6 specification so as to confirm whether the network to which the mobile node moves is an IPv6 network or an IPv4 network and detect movement to the confirmed network, and to perform a binding update in time.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting/receiving data between an image forming device and a portable storage device includes reading information about the portable storage device from the portable storage device when such is connected to the image forming device, transmitting/receiving data with respect to the portable storage device according to the read information, stopping the transmitting/receiving of data when the portable storage device is disconnected during the transmitting/receiving of data, and resuming the transmitting/receiving of data when the portable storage device is reconnected to the image forming device and the disconnected portable storage device and the reconnected portable storage device are the same. When the connection between the image forming device and the portable storage device is lost and the transmitting/receiving of data therebetween is stopped, the transmitting/receiving of data between the image forming device and the portable storage device can resume when the connection is restored.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and apparatus for allocating a multicast connection identifier (MCID) for Internet protocol (IP) packet transmission over a portable Internet network and transmitting packets using the MCID. More specifically, there is provided a method of defining and allocating an MCID for transmitting an IP version 6 (IPv6) multicast packet over an IEEE 802.16/Wireless Broadband (WiBro) network and a process for transmitting an IP multicast packet of a base station (BS) using the MCID. The method of allocating is related to a method of automatically generating a connection identifier (CID) having 16 bits for packet transmission over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network in order to transmit the IPv6 multicast packet. In this method, a scope value of the IPv6 multicast packet is added to the MCID. Therefore, multicast packets having an effective IPv6 scope such as a multicast packet in a link-local category, a multicast packet in a site-local category, and a multicast packet in a global category can be transmitted over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network according to the scope of the multicast packet. Accordingly, when a new IPv6 scope is defined, the method can be naturally applied.
Abstract:
An image forming device to execute scan-to-email operation includes a scanning unit, a mail writing unit to generate a preview image of the image data scanned by the scanning unit, and to write an email including the generated preview image as a content; and an interface unit to transmit the generated email through a mail server to an external terminal device. The mail writing unit includes an interface area to process the image data in a mail content. Accordingly, an interface area is selected, the image data is managed according to the selected interface area.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a neighbor discovery protocol (NDP) message in an IEEE 802.16/Wibro network is provided. The method of transmitting an NDP message in a sub-network formed with access routers and a plurality of base stations connected to the access router through separate interfaces includes: a first base station transmitting a first NDP message received from a first terminal, to the access router; and the access router transmitting the first NDP message to the remaining base stations excluding the first base station. According to the method, a method of processing an NDP message in an environment having multiple base stations which cannot be considered under a conventional environment using a multicast connection ID (CID) can be improved, and problems that can occur when a IPv6 is introduced in an IEEE 802.16/Wibro network can be solved.
