The rotating brush driving control apparatus includes a supporting bracket disposed in a suction brush assembly; a moving member slidably and elastically disposed in the supporting bracket; a lever disposed above a driving belt, the lever having an end rotatably disposed at a side of the supporting bracket; a tension spring elastically connecting the moving member and the lever; and a locking member disposed below the moving member, the locking member locking or unlocking the moving member in turn according as the moving member is downwardly pressed; wherein, when the locking member locks the moving member, the other end of the lever press the driving belt by the tension spring so that the driving belt transmits the driving power to the rotating brush.

The dust-collector locking/unlocking the device includes a first member and a second member connected with a lower portion of the first member and serving as a cover for the dust-collector. The first member includes a first hook that is rotatably connected with an upper wall of the cleaner body, a manipulation lever that protrudes from an outer circumference of the first member for rotation of the first member by a user, and first cam parts formed on a lower portion of the first member. The second member includes a second hook movably connected with guide cams formed on the first member, and second cam parts engaged with the first camp part. The second member is moved up and down by the rotational movement of the manipulation lever and thereby lock or unlock the dust-collector.

    摘要: A vacuum cleaner comprises a suction port assembly having a suction inlet, a rotatable drum, a driving pulley that drives the rotatable drum, a driven pulley that is driven by a motor and a free-wheeling idler pulley that can rotate irrespective of the driven pulley. A drive belt between the motor and the driven pulley can be moved off the driven pulley and onto the free-wheeling idler pulley. When the drive belt from the motor rides on the idler pulley, the rotatable drum is disconnected from the motor, allowing it to stop. The drive belt is move onto and off of the idler pulley by a user-operable two-position guide member. In a first position, the drive belt is connected to the driven pulley. In the second position, the drive belt is directed onto the free-wheeling idler pulley. A user of the vacuum cleaner can selectively activate and deactivate the rotatable drum during cleaning thereby saving power, reducing wear on the rotating drum and its bristles and reducing noise.
