Abstract:
A new and distinct floricane fruiting red raspberry, Rubus idaeus L., variety is described. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from controlled pollination crossing of the unreleased raspberry selections with the breeder codes 86105N26 (not patented) and 87115ZN2 (not patented). This new variety is characterized by very early onset of fruit ripening. The new variety is distinguished from others by its high yields of firm and attractive conical shaped, uniform sized, large, red berries that ripen very early in the season. The plant exhibits a spine-free upright growth habit, of strong vigor. The new variety appears suitable for the fresh fruit market and the plant is also potentially well-adapted to machine harvesting. The variety has been named ‘Awaroa’.

Abstract:
A magnetic field compensation winding arrangement for a cathode ray tube includes a magnetic field compensation winding positioned on the cathode ray tube to compensate for an ambient magnetic field. An operational amplifier is used for generating a magnetic field compensation current in the winding. A pair of digital-to-analog converters are used for generating a pair of signals, respectively, that are coupled to the amplifier to control the magnetic field compensation current.

A new and distinct floricane fruiting red raspberry, Rubus idaeus L., variety is described. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from the controlled pollination crossing of the raspberry varieties known as HR101 (not patented) and ‘Willamette’ (not patented). The new variety is distinguished from others by the dwarfing nature of the plant which tends to produce many canes that do not grow more than approximately 600 mm in height. The plant is not suited to commercial fruit production but is very suited to ornamental uses such as in the home garden and containers where it produces attractive foliage and edible raspberry fruit comparable in size to those of taller growing varieties.
Abstract:
A tray assembly for an infant highchair, the tray assembly including a frame having front, rear, and side peripheral edge portions defining a space therebetween having a predetermined shape and size; a tray insert having front, rear, and side peripheral lip portions supporting and connected to a bottom portion located in an area defined thereby, the tray insert having a predetermined shape and extent such that the peripheral lip portions can rest on the peripheral edge portions of the frame for supporting the bottom of the tray insert in at least substantially covering relation to the space defined by the frame. A handle is connected to the front peripheral lip of the tray insert having a generally C shape profile when viewed from the side, and being positioned so as to releasably wrap or clamp securely around a sufficient portion of the front peripheral edge portion of the frame for holding the front lip portion of the tray insert thereon when the side and rear lip portions of the tray insert are resting on the side and rear edge portions of the frame, respectively; the tray insert being simply and easily removably from the frame by grasping the handle with one hand and pulling the handle forwardly to release the handle from the front peripheral edge portion of the frame and replaceable in a similar manner.

A new and distinct floricane fruiting red raspberry, Rubus idaeus L., variety is described. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from controlled pollination crossing of the raspberry varieties known as ‘Chilcotin’ (not patented) and an unreleased selection with the breeder code 86107O58 (not patented). The fruit of this new variety has an attractive appearance characterized by very shiny, mid light-red fruit color. The new variety is distinguished from others by its high yields of firm and attractive conical shaped, uniform sized, large, red berries that ripen in the mid season. The plant exhibits a semi spine-free upright growth habit, of strong vigor. The new variety appears suitable for the fresh fruit market and has been named ‘Adele’.

A new and distinct floricane fruiting red raspberry, Rubus idaeus L., variety is described. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from controlled pollination crossing of the raspberry variety known as ‘Moutere’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 17,744) and the unreleased raspberry selection with the breeder code D188 (not patented). This new variety is characterized by excellent fruit quality, very good shelf life, and an early harvest season, and is suitable for both machine and hand harvest. The new variety appears suitable for the fresh fruit market and has been named ‘Korere’.
Abstract:
A turner for quickly, easily, and aesthetically turning over and aerating and thickening a settled or compacted layer of an aggregate landscaping mulch material, and a method for doing so. The present turner includes an elongate cylindrical barrel having an outer cylindrical surface having a diametrical extent of less than about 5 inches and a plurality of elongate projections extending generally radially outwardly from the cylindrical surface at spaced locations thereon. The turner includes a handle supporting the cylindrical barrel for rotation about a cylindrical axis thereof. The present method includes holding the handle to push or pull the cylindrical barrel across a region of the layer of the landscaping mulch material to rotate the barrel such that the projections will penetrate into the mulch material and lift and reorient portions thereof to thicken the layer, without substantially disturbing the underlying surface.
