摘要:
Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a user experiencing cognitive decline or a similar affliction may be assisted with the performance of daily tasks or routines. An information handling system installed in a central room of the user's living quarters, such as a kitchen, to observe the user and determine if the user is having difficulty completing the task or routine. If it is determined that the user is experiencing difficulty, the information handling system may provide one or more cues to the user to assist the user in remembering what the user has just completed in order to indicate to the user what part of the task remains to be completed. For example, the steps recently taken by the user may be retraced by projecting an image of those footsteps onto the floor to show the user where she has recently been.
摘要:
A monitor, which may be closely associated with a handrail, may determine the amount of force applied to the handrail. The monitor may also determine the pattern in which force is applied to the handrail in order to assess how the user is contacting the handrail. The user's application of force to the handrail can be monitored along the course of movement along the handrail and may be compared to historical usage patterns.
摘要:
A system and method for monitoring sleep stages to determine optimal arousal times and to alert an individual to negative states of wakefulness. In an embodiment, a device receives pressure data from at least one pressure sensor, where the pressure sensor is associated with furniture used for an individual to sleep. The device uses the pressure data to determine a sleep stage for the individual. The sleep stage is used to determine whether it is an optimal arousal time for the individual. The device sends an indication to not wake the individual if it is not the optimal arousal time for the individual. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
