摘要： A protector which is used to cover a distal portion of a guide wire protruding from a distal opening of a tube body includes a first half body and a second half body which are movable between an open state and a closed state. 摘要： Disclosed herein is a device (such as guidewire inserter) for easily and certainly inserting a medical long item having a curved tip into a tube such as catheter and sheath. The guidewire inserter is a tubular member having therein a bore for passage of a guidewire. The tubular member has a slit cutting across the wall thereof over the total length thereof. The tubular member has at the proximal end thereof an aperture, which results from the slit expanding toward the proximal end. The tubular member has at the proximal end of the aperture an open part and a connecting part adjacent thereto for the holder tube. There are a pair of wing-like protruded pieces projecting in the mutually opposite directions at both sides of the open part. The distal end of the tubular member has on its outer surface a pair of protruded rims, which project in the mutually opposite directions with respect to the central axis of the tubular member. When the distal end of the tubular member is connected by insertion into the bore at the proximal end of the tube, such as sheath, the protruded rims come into contact with the inside of the hub.

摘要： An electrode lead, which is used as an implantable electrode lead and a symptom of disconnection of which can be found and detected at an early stage before complete disconnection. Also, an implantable medical instrument which uses this electrode lead safely is provided. More specifically, in an implantable electrode lead obtained by connecting conductor wires 23 and 27 with large electrical resistances and conductor wires 20 and 26 with small electrical resistances parallel to each other, when one of the low-strength conductor wires 20 and 26 is disconnected, a change in electrical resistance of the implantable electrode lead can be detected and informed. Hence, a symptom before total disconnection of the implantable electrode lead can be detected.

摘要： In order to increase durability against repeated flexure caused in a body tissue or flexure having a very small radius of curvature, and to reduce mechanical stress applied by a lead body on the body tissue, a lead body (20) of an implantable electrode lead is constituted by a conductive coil (24) and a sheath (22). The conductive coil (24) is obtained by helically winding a conductive wire (26), formed with an insulating coating layer (28) and having a diameter (d), to have a coil pitch diameter (mean diameter) (D). The sheath (22) is made of an electrical insulating material. An outer diameter G of the lead body (20) is set to 2 mm or less. The sheath (22) is formed of a soft material having a Shore hardness of 80A or less. The conductive coil (24) is set to have a spring index (D/d) of 7.8 or more.
