摘要: To encode a moving picture in real time in as high quality as possible, no matter whether a target bit rate for encoding the moving picture is high or low.An encoder performs motion compensated inter-picture predictive coding on moving picture data in a selected one of prediction modes. The encoder includes: a detecting section for detecting an accumulated error and a motion vector of a block, included in a picture to be encoded, by reference to a block in a reference picture to be used for each prediction mode; an estimating section for calculating an estimated value by adding a product of each accumulated error and a predetermined first coefficient and that of a predicted vector associated with each motion vector and a second coefficient; a determining section for selecting one of the prediction modes according to the estimated value; a coefficient updating section for updating a proportionality factor using at least a quantization scale used when the block to be encoded is quantized; and an encoding section for encoding the data of the block to be encoded in the prediction mode selected.

摘要: In a method of the present invention for controlling stepping motor, the stepping motor driving current is increased or reduced at a fixed inclination in proportion to the time to control the stepping motor effectively, and, a stepping motor driving current pattern is changed by ¼ cycle or more to synchronize the state of excitation between the stepping motor driving means and the stepping motor to control the pick-up very accurately. In addition, the disk apparatus of the present invention, which uses a stepping motor is provided with a pulse rate pattern variable means, a pulse rate change proportion measuring means, and a driving voltage variable means, and when the pulse rate and the pulse rate change proportion are low, the driving voltage amplitude is lowered to reduce surplus torque generation in the stepping motor.

摘要: The present invention provides an optical disc apparatus which solves a problem that the tracking control takes off when an objective lens is displaced in the tracking direction due to its weight. In this optical disc apparatus, a spot position detector 108 generates a spot position signal which indicates a position of a light spot on a light receiving element 105, and supplies the signal to a traverse loop filter 111 and a spot position loop filter 109. A controller 115 supplies an output from the spot position loop filter 109 to a tracking actuator 104, before supplying an output from the traverse loop filter 111 to a traverse motor 113, previously moves the light spot near the center of the light receiving element 105, and starts the traverse control in a state where a value of the spot position signal at starting of the traverse control is reduced.
