    Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device, a transparent sheet TPS is provided to a surface of a diffusion plate SCT which faces a light source (cold cathode fluorescent lamps CFL). The whole or at least respective portions of four sides forming peripheries of the transparent sheet TPS and the diffusion plate SCT are adhered to each other using a pressure sensitive adhesive double-sided tape or the like thus sealing a gap defined between them in a complete state or in an incomplete state with respect to outside air so that the drying conditions at a liquid-crystal-display element side and a light-source side of the diffusing plate SCT become equal.

    Abstract: A base sequence S(j) is not directly calculated but is indirectly calculated by the use of a numerical sequence M(n)=[v×n] mod p. A value of M(n) can be calculated by a recurrence formula without requiring modulo calculation. The value obtained is stored in a memory. M(n) satisfies S(j)=M(S(j−1)). By determining an initial value of S(j) and interleaving the value of M(n) stored in the memory, the base sequence S(j) can be calculated without modulo calculation.

    Abstract: Provided is a receiving device which, even when a temporary degradation occurs in the propagation path environment during an AFC tracking operation, does not require an initial lead-in operation when the propagation path environment returns to normal and which has lower power consumption and shortened time during which communication is not possible; also provided are a receiving method and a computer program. This receiving device calculates the variance of the phase rotation angle relative to a reference signal, compensating for frequency error if the rotation angle variance is less than a pre-set threshold value (TH), and stopping frequency error compensation if the rotation angle variance is greater than or equal to the threshold value (TH).
